RIOT MUSIC is a virtual music agency under Brave Group's RIOT MUSIC Inc. (formerly Super Yellow Inc.) subsidiary. The agency is composed of different "sub-labels" like Mugensho Record and Kigensho Records. It was launched in 2020 as a music agency with talents under its direct management. In May 2022, RIOT MUSIC was reorganized into different sub-labels that function as separate branches of the agency, with each member belonging to a sub-label instead of being directly under RIOT MUSIC as before.

Timeline

2020
In March, RIOT MUSIC was established by Unlimited Inc. (later known as Brave Group), as an agency for music-focused virtual artists. In April, Domyoji Cocoa, previously under direct management by Unlimited Inc., transferred into the agency as its first member. On 13 May, RIOT MUSIC announced the upcoming debut of Ashizawa Saki with a commemorative manga by Saki's designer Shirokuma Shake detailing how Domyoji Cocoa and Saki met leading up to Saki's debut on 20 May. On 17 June, RIOT MUSIC announced their first open auditions On 14 September, RIOT MUSIC announced that three artists have passed their auditions, Matsunaga Iori, Nagase Yuka, and Nagihara Suzuna. Iori debuted on 15 September, followed by Yuka on 16 September and Suzuna on 17 September.
2021
On 23 December, Sumeragi Miona made her debut.
2022
On 22 March, a new project under Brave Group was teased during Re:Volt 2022 live event held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA. The new project was left unnamed at the time. In May, RIOT MUSIC established its first sub-label project called "Blitz Wing" which will have Domyoji Cocoa, Ashizawa Saki and Matsunaga Iori as its initial lineup of affiliated artists. On 13 June, RIOT MUSIC announced the opening of auditions until 15 July for new virtual artists who will debut under Blitz Wing. In July, a company to manage RIOT MUSIC called Super Yellow Inc., was established by Brave Group as its subsidiary. On 22 July, Brave Group announced a sub-label project under the RIOT MUSIC, named "Meteopolis". Similar to Blitz Wing, it will comprise of already existing RIOT MUSIC members, Nagihara Suzuna and Sumeragi Miona. Along with this, two teaser trailers for the project were posted on both Suzuna and Miona's channels and Suzuna's YouTube channel has been renamed "Meteopolis from RIOT MUSIC" and will function as their joint YouTube channel from then on. They also announced that they will be gradually reuploading Miona's pre-existing YouTube videos to the new channel over the course of the following months and her channel will be deleted/archived afterward. On 1 December, RIOT MUSIC announced auditions for StarryResonance, the second music project from the music agency, this time focused on virtual idols. On 17 December, Asakura Anko made her debut as a member of Blitz Wing. On 27 December, Kigensho Records was launched as another sub-label under RIOT MUSIC, with Nagase Yuka as its first member.
2023
On 9 February, Sumeragi Miona transferred to Blitz Wing from Meteopolis. As part of this change, Miona regains her individual YouTube channel (previously merged into the Meteopolis channel in 2022) and her covers were re-registered to her individual channel. On 16 April, Kanzaki Akane made her debut as a member of Meteopolis. On 21 April, Hatsusegawa Misaki made her debut as a member of Meteopolis. On 1 June, Super Yellow Inc., the company that manages RIOT MUSIC, changed its name to RIOT MUSIC Inc., sharing the title of the company with its virtual music agency. With this change, RIOT MUSIC's Executive Producer Takeda Kouki also becomes the Executive Director of RIOT MUSIC Inc. On 24 June, Itsuki Chise and Shirakawa Shirase made their debuts as members of Blitz Wing. On 30 June, StarryResonance announced that its audition passers will be debuting in August. Starting in July, the StarryResonance Twitter account would gradually post more details and teasers of its first two members, Dokuro Tenisu and Sanmoto Noburi. On 20 August, Dokuro Tenisu and Sanmoto Noburi debuted together in the first livestream on Bakedol's official YouTube channel, where "Bakedol" became the new name of the StarryResonance idol project. The StarryResonance official Twitter also changed its name and handle to Bakedol, which is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for apparition (お化ケ), and "idol" - resulting in an occult-themed virtual idol group. On 20 October, Mitsunoki Jill and Tokiniwa Ranze made their debuts as members of Blitz Wing. On 21 October, Tenisu and Noburi were joined on the Bakedol channel by the debuting Tamamo Nasuko, who was originally their "camerawoman" during their occult shoots. On 4 November, Dokuro and Tenisu would each also debut on their own individual channels, followed by Nasuko on 17 November on her own channel. On 26 December, Shuko made her debut as the second member of Kigensho Records.
2024
On 17 May 2024, RIOT MUSIC announced that Bakedol will cease its activities by 17 June 2024. Dokuro Tenisu was undergoing a long-term medical treatment so she had to cease activities, while Sanmoto Noburi and Tamamo Nasuko decided to pursue new goals. On 17 June, Sanmoto Noburi and Tamamo Nasuko retired from Bakedol. On 2 August, RIOT MUSIC Inc. launched its VTuber Support project called RIONECTION. On 17 October, Meteopolis announced two new members, Akahoshi Mitsuki and Saejima Asuka, who debuted on 23 and 24 October respectively.
2025
On 6 January, RIOT MUSIC announced that Meteopolis will be changing its label name to Cho Ginga Record. The label will now be managed by RIOT MUSIC subsidiary Cho Ginga Record Inc. It was also announced that Nagihara Suzuna's YouTube channel will be renamed (once again), this time to "Cho Ginga Record" (超銀河レコード). Channels of other label members will be made private and their videos (with some exceptions) will be integrated into the new YouTube channel. On 1 May, Blitz Wing announced their sub-label's rebranding to Mugensho Record. On 29 May, Cho Ginga Record announced that it had become independent from Brave Group (and RIOT MUSIC). On 29 June, Mugensho Record announced three new members: Memento Vanitas, Shuna and Minami Izumi who all debuted on 4 July.

Virtual artists under RIOT MUSIC belong to at least one sub-label under the agency. These "sub-labels" function as different branches of the agency.
Mugensho Record (formerly Blitz Wing)
"Mugensho Record" (無原唱レコード) is a sub-label of RIOT MUSIC established in May 2022 as Blitz Wing, until 1 May 2025 when it was rebranded to Mugensho Record.
Kigensho Records
"Kigensho Records" (汽元象レコード) is the sub-label of Nagase Yuka and formerly, of Shuko prior to her transfer to RIONECTION.
RIONECTION
"RIONECTION" is a production support group launched by RIOT MUSIC that will help and support existing VTubers (both independent and corporate) with their projects and activities. Its members are considered affiliates, and are not counted as members of RIOT MUSIC itself.
Bakedol (formerly StarryResonance)
"Bakedol" (化ケドル) was a virtual idol group under RIOT MUSIC established in August 2023, whose concept was a combination of "entertainment", "occult" and "idol". It initially consisted of two members: Dokuro Tenisu and Sanmoto Noburi, and they were later joined by Tamamo Nasuko as the last member. The project was originally called "StarryResonance" before debut.
Cho Ginga Record (formerly Meteopolis)
"Cho Ginga Record" (超銀河レコード) is a sub-label established on 22 July 2022 as Meteopolis. On 6 January 2025, Meteopolis was renamed into Cho Ginga Record while retaining original Meteopolis members, namely Nagihara Suzuna, Kanzaki Akane, Hatsusegawa Misaki, Akahoshi Mitsuki, and Saejima Asuka. Since 6 January 2025, it is operated by Cho Ginga Records Inc., (originally a subsidiary of RIOT MUSIC Inc.) and on 29 May, Cho Ginga Records Inc. became independent altogether from RIOT MUSIC Inc. and Brave Group.
