Timeline
2024

On 13 February, comic artist Flork of Cows (known for his art style in which characters resemble sock puppets) posted a comic on Twitter that mocked Nijisanji for acting stupidly, referencing contemporary drama regarding management's handling of NIJISANJI EN talent. Later that day, Flork posted a follow-up comic depicting Nijisanji's lawyers telling Nijisanji to shut up, referencing extraneous details in the company's public communications regarding a terminated NIJISANJI EN VTuber which seemed potentially legally inadvisable. Presumably, this incident put VTubers and VTuber agencies on Flork's radar.

On 26 February, Flork jokingly posted on Twitter that he was "going to start a VTuber company" along with concept art doodles for 4 absurd VTubers (woman in a straitjacket, woman in an iron lung, woman from Utah, and "Pinocchio with tits"). Flork continued the thread, tweeting "I bet I could make this work" and then "talking to some people maybe I can make this happen LOL."

On 27 February, the agency put out a casting call via Twitter for VTubers of any gender, ending on 5 March. Prior experience wasn't required. The agency stated that its talents would receive Live2D models in both an anime style and in Flork's signature sockpuppet art style. Also on 27 February, the agency debuted its official logo. On 5 March, the agency announced it had received 1,052 applications. On 7 March, the agency announced that emails had been sent out to all applicants who made it to round 2 of auditions.

The agency held 2 AmA (ask me anything) Twitter threads on 10 March and 3 April. On 18 March, the agency asked on Twitter "what do you want to see an agency do?" and what types of "content, collabs, [and] merch" do people want.

Between February 26 and March 14, often in response to achieving Twitter follower milestones, the agency posted sneak peeks of art for an anime VTuber design, specifically the upper face, chest, and feet. Together, the sneak peeks suggest a dark-haired, tired woman with multiple ear-piercings, wearing a straitjacket and non-slip socks. On 18 March, the agency announced that "at launch we will have one hag, which will be in a straightjacket"; presumably this is who the sneak peek art depicts.

On 19 March, the agency announced that it had bought its talent a melee weapon. Presumably this refers to a folding "girl knife" given to Camizole Corzette, revealed on 30 June.

On 21 March, the agency announced a teaser website at sockagency.co, showing a logo and random joke text. On 20 March, stating they "need hag money", the agency asked whether readers "want to buy a super premium employee landyard? [sic]". On 22 March, the agency announced the availability for sale of agency-themed ID holder "intern" lanyards via Kawa Entertainment's e-shop. The agency also posted a customizable Socks Agency employee badge image that could be used with the ID holder. On 7 April, the agency announced a last-call for lanyard sales, and thanked the community for their monetary support.

On 26 March, the agency announced that it had finalized its selection of talents and was working with the talents on their debuts.

On 3 April, the agency described the mental health of its talents as "spicy but not spicy enough that they [can't] work".

On 27 May, OffKai Expo announced that Socks Agency would be a sponsor of their 2024 ("Gen 3") VTuber convention. Though they were a sponsor, the agency didn't attend OffKai. However, the back cover of the convention's official program booklet consisted of a quick comic by Flork and Socks Agency, surrounded by lots of blank space.

On 15 June, the agency fully launched, announcing its first 3 VTubers: Snoozychu, Inis, and Camizole Corzette. The first 2 were previous indie VTubers; the last will be debuting with the agency.

On 21 June, the agency began selling 100-packs of matte card sleeves with just the agency's logo & branding, following up on their tweet from April.

On 22 June, the agency announced that they'll be holding a marathon stream starting 20 July at 5pm EST, which will culminate in Camizole Corzette's debut. In the stream, their other talents "will be showing off something new", and the winners of an art contest will be displayed. The agency also announced several VTubers who will host official watchalongs of the marathon stream.

On 27 June, the agency announced that the actor for VTuber Raika Mae'lyn had become a talent manager at the agency. Raika further clarified that she had joined the agency as a manager and that her VTuber-self wouldn't be one of the agency's talents.

On 2 July, the agency tweeted that Flork would draw a pregnant Inis if Japanese mascot Chiitan replied to the tweet, which the mascot did. Flork posted the drawing the next day.

On 6 July, the agency announced that it would be holding meet-and-greets for charity at Bell County Comic Con in Belton, Texas. The agency also offered to host other, select VTubers' first-ever meet-and-greets at their booth.

On 10 December, the agency announced their new talent - previously independent Yomi Quinnley. She would be debuting under the new occupation on 10 January 2025.

2025

On 10 January, Yomi Quinnley had her debut stream as member of Socks Agency.

On 16 July, Art Director, GremlinBon announced that they stepped down from their position at agency.

On 23 August, AlienMixture debuted in SVA with her 2.0 model.

On 8 October, SVA revealed its generation 2 talents' Twitter accounts and names: Adfree.EXE, Malfina, and VTuber Male. Before debut, only Malfina and Adfree.EXE teased distinct silhouettes of their models.

On 8 November, SVA generation 2 debuted. During his debut, VTuber Male reveal his original name is actually Sclimbo.

On 10 November, HRChan announced she is stepping away from the agency as a staff member.

On 13 December, all the talents of SVA held together a "Merry Mix Christmas" relay in four steps: Ali's Christmas caroling concert with over 40 guests, Yomi and Sclimbo's Christmas meal cooking collab, Cami and Malfina's Christmas story ASMR collab, and Snoozy and Addy's gingerbread housebuilding collab.

Profile

When asked "So is this [agency] an elaborate shitpost?", the agency replied: "Yes and no." The agency was originally just a joke, but developed into "a fully serious agency where we are going to do our best for our talents."

"this will either be successful and be the funniest thing [I've] ever done or this will fail and be the funniest thing [I've] ever done."

Flork of Cows

"[W]hat makes us standout? NOTHING! [Let's] be honest [it's] a saturated market and [that's] ok! [There's] room for every talent and [that's] a good thing. If you [don't] click with our talents or us [that's] ok!! You have so many choices!!"

Lore

The agency has posted to Twitter many, mostly fictional, Flork-style comics about the agency, featuring its staff and talents.

On 6 March 2024, the agency posted a joke announcement that "Pinocchio with tits" (from the 26 February concept art doodles tweet) had immediately graduated from the agency, apparently because management had gambled away the rights to the character in a game of mahjong.

The agency has repeatedly tried to reach casual Tex-Mex restaurant chain Chili's via Twitter, in order to create "Hagaritas" (hag + margarita).

Policies

Talents can stream on whatever platform they want. Talents can collaborate with whoever they want. The agency "[does] have some rules but [it's] very open for [the talents] to be as creative as they want." The talents receive "full assistance on projects."

The agency's long-term plan is to make money through talent growth and merchandising.

With female VTubers announced for Generation 1, the agency says male VTubers are "more likely" for Generation 2.

Staff

As of 11 November 2025, the agency claimed a staff of 16 in management.

Trivia

Initially, people needed to deactivate their adblocker to see Adfree.EXE in the talent section of SVA's website. This issue was sorta fixed on 4 January 2026 by displaying her as "Free" instead of "Adfree."
