Variance Project, also called VarPro, is a Europe-based VTuber agency headquartered in the Netherlands. In addition to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for its talents, the agency emphasizes immersive storytelling, detailed worldbuilding, and rich lore. Their unique approach includes faction-based themes and events that bring depth to each talent’s persona.

Timeline

2024
On 5 March, Variance Project officially launched and announced their rebranding from Digilive Production to Variance Project. On 31 July, Variance Project launched its first major faction, Ziton Corporation, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 9 August, Variance Project announced their launch of auditions for their first talent group with a promotional animation video. On 12 August, Variance Project launched its first ‘’Road Ahead’’ video. 'The Road Ahead' is a series where they share their recent activities, future goals, core values, music, art, an inside look into their team and much more. On 19 August, Variance Project launched its second major faction, the Cairon Empire, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 29 August, Variance Project launched their first Major Q&A session regarding the audition event. They also hosted a live Q&A session on Discord. On 30 August, Variance Project launched its third major faction, the Corrupters, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 7 September, Variance Project announced their shortening of auditions from a total of 3 months to 2 months due to a big influx of applications. On 11 September, Variance Project launched its fourth major faction, the Nakoda, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 22 September, Variance Project launched its fifth major faction, the Seraphine, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 9 October, Variance Project announced their closing of auditions.
2025
On 24 January, Variance Project launched its sixth major faction, the Gan Eden, releasing two promotional videos, lore posts, and concept art over time. On 7 June, Variance Project announced the name of their future generation, EQUILIBRIUM. From 9 June to 19 June, the silhouettes, promotional images, themes and items of 4 EQUILIBRIUM members were revealed. On 29 June, Variance Project released a promotional video revealing its first generation of VTubers, EQUILIBRIUM, consisting of four members: Katya Sable, Fangsie Fido, Leia Memoria, and Avaritia Hawthorne. They are scheduled to debut on 19 and 20 July. On 11 December, Variance Project announced a one-week suspension for Fangsie Fido. 6 days later, on 17 December, Fido's contract was terminated.
Trivia
Before becoming Variance Project, the agency started as an informal friend group called Digilive Production, an unofficial VTuber group that never became fully operational until the rebrand into Variance Project.
