Background

In October 2019, BrightRelish's other VTuber agency VGaming held auditions for five VTubers. However, on 30 March 2020, that agency disbanded. BrightRelish then established VGeneration that same month, and the applicants who passed VGaming's October audition would debut into VGeneration instead. On 11 April 2020, the YouTube accounts for VGeneration's five upcoming VTubers were created.

Disbanding

On 12 November, VGeneration's official Twitter account announced that Luca Polka would retire on 18 December, and the agency will also be disbanded. The remaining active members will continue their activities as independent VTubers.

On 28 March 2023, former member Mitsumata Rube, in an effort to alert fans, reported in a tweet that Asagumo Yuma and Luca Polka's YouTube and Twitter accounts have been sold by former VGeneration management to third parties, and that these accounts were being used by the new owners to impersonate the former talents.
