2026

On 1 January, Stygia made her first formal appearance.

On 15 February, Theretra clotho made her first formal appearance.

On 25 March, Acherontia styx released her first lore video. Figures such as Pallas, Athena, Zeus, Nike, Zelos, Kratos, and Bia were introduced.

Acherontia Atropos

Atropos is the oldest of Styx's 3 sisters and is the fate in charge of deciding when somethings thread should be cut, ending its life. She also helps by culling any unruly souls that could threated the river if left unchecked and by guiding the souls of the recently departed unto the river. This leads to her being the sister that interacts with the living the most often, however brief an interaction it may be.

She is named directly after the Deaths Head Hawkmoth of the same species and is ~5ft 2 in height (152.4cm).

As for her personality, she's described as being the goth of the three. Her visit was the earliest and arguably the briefest of the three so it's quite hard to deduce her true personality as of yet. As of the time of writing this (June 16th 2026) she is also the only sister to not have a known date for her visits as the April 1st visit was a joke (Naturally). (WIP)

Acherontia Lachesis

Lachesis is the 2nd oldest of Styx's three sisters and is the fate in charge of deeming the events of a persons life. Much like Atropos before her she is named directly after the Deaths Head Hawkmoth of the same species and is far larger than the others standing at ~9ft 3 (281.94cm). She also seems to be the only one of her sisters to not don any soul orbs.

She has a very overwhelming personality. She's loud, upfront and almost cheery to a fault, easily the most open to conversation and answering questions should you be brave enough to ask. However she also has a much more dark and threatening side that she rarely shows, apparently even devouring souls for one reason or another.

She is said to enjoy peering into a souls thread as a form of entertainment, presumably looking over everything they had done during their time alive and getting a kick out of how they deal with the assorted highs and lows that she placed for them (Probably feels like watching reality TV).

Theretra Clotho

Clotho is the youngest of Styx's three sisters, being only around 1 billion years old. She is the fate in charge of weaving the threads of souls and also seems to interpret and influence the emotional state of the soul through them. Like the rest of her sisters she is named after a real world moth but unlike them it is not a Deaths Head Hawkmoth but a Common Hunter Hawkmoth. She stands at around 5ft 8 (172.72cm).

She has a very upbeat personality and is seemingly always wearing a smile on her face around others, but she still makes sure to take her work very seriously. Due to her "young" age she is also the most in tune with modern society and speaks in a much more lax and informal way compared to the others, conducting herself in a similar way with a very sporty feeling about her.

Interestingly, she is far more insect like when compared to her sisters, with only Lachesis showing off any real insect-like features not counting antennae.

Stygia

Stygia was first introduced through an ARG-style interaction on Twitter/X, where subsequent artworks and Stygia's responses were determined through audience voting between two options.

The first image introduced her as a shadowy figure, with the audience expecting Clotho's introduction as the last and final sister of the three Moirai.

Name
  • The name ' derives from the subspecies of Death's Head Hawkmoth, the lesser death's head hawkmoth or bee robber, a sphingid moth found in Asia, one of the three species of death's-head hawkmoth.
