Aquwa started off as a loner jellyfish princess, a homebody who was fearful of anything that wasn't what she was used to. This all changed when she encountered a peculiar scuba diver who was trying to study marine life. Alarmed by this creature, she stung them to avoid the unknown. The human didn't retaliate at all, in fact, they attempted to build rapport with the girl.
It took some time, but Aquwa began accepting the olive branches the person offered, soon becoming close friends with the scuba diver, teaching him about her culture and interests.
