2020–2021
He streamed regularly, engaging in games and chats. In 2020, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given only a few months to live. Despite this, he persisted with VTubing, sharing his journey subtly while maintaining positivity.
In September 2021, to fulfill his dream, friends organized a virtual wedding with Neneko on 18 September 2021. A Reddit campaign by u/Kokomaro urged subscriptions to reach 1,000 (surpassed to ~1,500) for a memorable send-off.
Passing
BBOO passed away on 17 September 2021, due to terminal cancer complications, just one day before his virtual wedding. The news was shared via Reddit and Twitter, with tributes pouring in. His wife, Neneko, continued as a "Widow VTuber," honoring his memory.
