Dee typically refers to herself in the third person by name. A cozy dork with chaos gremlin vibes, Dee provides an overall wholesome, wild, and silly experience — but she is an adult and occasionally acts like one. Dee loves to play adventure games and RPGs; she gets very immersed in stories. Despite being oh-so-ferocious and fearless IRL (allegedly), Dee is a big baby chicken when playing spooky games. She is a highly gifted vocalist, but actively denies it.

Appearance

Dee's first form was a small, round, squishy cat thing with "glorious chicken wings". After revealing that her blobcat form was secretly an egg (because she lost a bet with the Kyuudees), Dee hatched into a distinctly cat(-adjacent) form which still occasionally asserts itself. Dee's true form is a "giant whamen" with sphinx attributes and long, curly brown hair.

In the first iteration of her full-sized form, her main outfit was based on belly dancing attire she wore in reality, with elements evoking both middle-eastern and Egyptian traditions (such as the usekh collar around her neck).

In the second iteration, she has leaned into a more Grecian influence. The left side of her body is darkened with "taint" as a result of interacting with the mysterious book (see events of late 2025, early 2026), and her animal aspect is more prominent.

2023

On 20 March, Dee posted the first pre-debut teaser to her YouTube channel.

On 25 March, Dee streamed the Season 0 Trailer on Twitch, kicking off what would be a year-long "pre-debut" streaming arc.

On 1 May, Dee celebrated Affiliate status on Twitch.

On 22 December, Dee "hatched" into her second form and released her original song "DeeJay." She also released a cover of "From the Start" (Laufey).

2024

On 19 April, Dee the Sphinx officially debuted. with her full "giant whamen" model and released her original song "A Goddess". Notably, as part of the debut day plot, Dee summoned her tower into the middle of a public park. Surely this would not come back to bite her months later. Surely not... (See October 24.)

On 26 May, Dee officially released her original song "Somewhere There's Magic". This song had first been heard a year before, but was put on hold until after her full model debut. It's very personal for Dee, written in a difficult time, but remains hopeful in tone and message.

On 24 June, Dee kicked off her first ever subathon as part of her push for Twitch Partner status. A capped and pre-planned event, it spanned seven days and featured various guests.

On 25 June, on just the second day of her first subathon (by now affectionately renamed the "Scuffathon"), Dee announced and celebrated Partner status on Twitch.

On 2 July, Dee released a cover of "Hiru no Tsuki" (Outlaw Star OST). This release was unlocked by the community during her first subathon.

On 1 August, Dee released the Children's Songs Playlist, a reward earned by the community during her first subathon. This remains one of her greatest gifts to the community.

On 24 October, (in-character) the government kicked Dee out of her tower for illegally appropriating a public park. She was charged a $200 trespassing fine ... and $2,600,000 for the establishment of a new replacement park. She was given six months to pay up, or else forfeit the tower altogether. Many Kyuudees resisted eviction, against Dee's instructions (but they mean well). This began the "Job Series" arc of semi-weekly streams where Dee attempted to make enough cash to save her tower.

On 13 September, Dee released a remix cover of "Down By The River" (Baldur's Gate 3 OST).

2025

On 25 April, Dee presented Zee, her big sister.

On 9 October, the "Job Series" had its final installment, where Dee returned to her job managing traffic near a construction zone. The stream ended with the tower — now revealed to be a kind of magical battery — going out of control and unleashing massive amounts of energy and purple light.

On 14 October, the music video released for "Love Is A Monster," an original song with Dee as vocalist and lyricist, created for Art Witch Studios in celebration of their 5th anniversary and celebrating their game, Love Sucks.

On 17 October, Dee appeared on the Twitch front page, and used the opportunity to debut her 2.0 model, Scuffed Edition. Now purposely using an only partly rigged model, she set up an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) for members of her Discord to help her "fix" her body while interacting with character lore, meant to play out over a month or so.

On 19 October, Ophelia Valentine released a cover music video for "Tokyo Calling" (ATARASHII GAKKO!) also featuring Dee the Sphinx, Patccine, and Berri Daisy.

On 20 December, Dee's chat found an ARG command that ended stream early, after only an hour, which lead to...

On 21 December, Dee debuted a new chibi "Dinx" model which she used until the conclusion of the ARG, and occasionally since then.

2026

On 7 January, Dee had a combination birthday and end-of-ARG stream. She also debuted the finished version of her 2.0 model, and released a music video for her cover of "V.A.N." (Bad Omens feat. Poppy). Finally, some of the Kyuudees presented her with a birthday Recocards board created in secret. They made her cry, but in a good way.

On 8 January, Dee did a post-event recap of the ARG, walking through the clues discovered and a few that weren't. She revealed the Kyuudees had achieved the second of four possible endings, offering some vague descriptions of the alternate paths they could have taken.

On 23 January, Dee released a music video for her cover of "White Tuxedo" (Addie Hamilton).

On 16 and 18 February, Dee had guests on stream to review first other people's character designs, then their rooms, for "coziness" based on ad-hoc criteria created on the spot by the guest panelists. This was leading up to...

On 19 February, Dee revealed her new "cozy" outfit, along with a merch drop, and culminating with the premiere of a music video for her cover of "Glory Box" (Portishead).

On 26 February, Dee announced five weeks of new original music video releases (one a week), beginning the next day, for the tracks of her upcoming EP release. She also revealed a new dedicated music channel on YouTube, where all new music will be released, and migrated her existing music videos to the new channel.

On 9 March, Dee introduced her IRL father, Dad-Dee a.k.a. Papa Bear, who had dropped in for an unplanned visit. Kyuudees seized the opportunity, getting to know the legend himself. They were absolutely on their best behavior and definitely didn't go out of their way to embarrass or rile up the sphinx. Nope, certainly not.

On 27 March, Dee released the final track and music video to complete her first EP, "Deemension Dee" (see Discography, promising a release soon to streaming services. She also announced an upcoming brief hiatus during which she'll be reorganizing her team and preparing to come back stronger, with a clearer sense of direction.
