For Flory, life has always been a palette of faded colours, sometimes barely seen or felt. She lived in her own world, away from the noise and movement of people, as an entity that could not be easily touched.

Since childhood, she did not understand many of other people's feelings, nor did she have the curiosity or enthusiasm to share those feelings. She was more interested in silence, in the quiet, in the shadows that surrounded her, rather than in words or actions that clearly expressed love or friendship.
