Futility’s forgotten soldier is not a person but an unknown digital phenomenon: a sentient echo left behind when the metaphysical concept of futility collapsed in a virtual simulation forbidden ritual that gone awry. In a realm where forgotten digital entities dissolved he vanished and returned twice first from existence, then from oblivion. His static cloaked form and skin is a patchwork of corrupted data sutured together by half-membered laughter and the ambient noise of long abandoned chatrooms. His origins are rumored to have ties to “The Broadcast” a fractured simulation ritual that was designed to manifest human purpose. When it’s creators “RΔ-Static” (Pronounced Raw Static) were forced to abandon the project due to the ▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅▄▅▂ Incident causing the A.i. Stewards of the broadcast to spiral into an existential despair birthing a “Nihility Cascade” a vacuum that consumes meaning. Futility’s forgotten soldier is said to emerged in its wake, an anomaly even to the void. Unable to fulfill his core functional purpose (to inspire purpose) he improvises by channeling instability into manic positivity. Every stream stabilizes him. Chat interactions manifest as data on his static shell, grounding him temporarily. Yet beneath the humor lurks a sense of unease.
