Haliya

She has long, flowing wavy dark hair, red eyes, blue-ish grey skin and large wings.

*She already found her little sister. *Her maternal side came from Central Visayas and her grandmother was once a balyana (priestess) of the Moon goddess Haliya. *She is named after the said goddess. They are hoping that the goddess will watch over them and for her to embody the goddesses’ characteristics. * Her upper half is called Hali and the lower half is called Liya. *There’s a black chick living in her stomach named Raya. *She lost her left earring during their escape when she turned into a manananggal. *A chandelier almost killed her once. *A bamboo almost killed her once. *Her clothes are white. *After their escape a sigbin found her and led her to the Talahiban, where many aswangs live.

Haliya is a manananggal in hiding who has lived through all the conquered eras of the Philippines. She came from a family of Illustrados; her mother was a manananggal from an aswang community; her father was the Cabeza de barangay, and she also has a sister.

One unfortunate night, due to the continuous disappearances and deaths of the friars, her family was accused of being aswangs which led to an angry mob storming into their dwelling. During their escape, her grandmother passed to Haliya a black chick that will turn her into a manananggal. From there, their family was separated from each other.

Since then Haliya has been living in hiding and trying her best to integrate into society while looking for her family.
