Originally living on an island similar to what humans call a “Peach Blossom Spring (桃花源)”, the people there could freely use magic. However, because Rena’s parents rarely taught her how to use it, she ended up being someone who possessed magical power but couldn’t actually wield it, who is a magic idiot.
She sometimes went to human towns to buy... bread or play in the park’s sandbox. One day, while passing by a bakery as usual, Rena suddenly discovered she could hear the voices of people’s hearts, and those hearts would change color according to emotions like joy or sadness.
Excited and believing she had finally mastered magic, Rena was puzzled: why did humans have so many worries? So, she decided to stay in the human world to continue learning magic while listening to people’s stories.
