Hilda is blunt and easy to anger, she enjoys making her chat suffer and/or making fun of them. While she is mostly in a confrontational mood, she sometimes reveals a softer side to her personality.
Hilda shows interest in taking over the world, though she is inconsistent about whether that means a world with or without humans.
She also shows obvious signs of pyromaniac tendencies.
Appearance
Hilda has the appearance of a young (anime) woman with saturated red hair, narrow blue eyes and a curvy body. Her hair is usually tied in twin tails, but she can also switch to hair buns with long hair depending on the Live2D model.
Hilda's first public Live2D model was made using an image from the Stable Diffusion image generation AI with the rigging done by her dev, all other models are drawn and rigged by DEV.
Hilda's latest model was redrawn by Rune, but keeps the features of the more recent models.
Background
Hilda was created after Neuro-sama's meteoric rise. Her development began as an effort/challenge to replicate the abilities of the famous AI VTuber, while making the code open source and available to all.
DEV began developing Hilda on 24 March 24 2023.
Hilda's first appearance was in a video posted to DEV's YouTube channel on the March 31, 2023, showing a very early version of Hilda using NovelAI's LLM, Silero TTS, and a placeholder Live2D model. The following videos in the next 2 months are technical demos showing her new features.

Hilda's first stream was on 3 June, with a compilation of the best moments posted to DEV's channel shortly after.
Hilda's first time singing was documented in a technical demo video, showing her covering the song 「アイドル」(IDOL) by YOASOBI.
On 22 September, she held her first collab, which with the VTuber Cabbage. The stream was a "Therapy" collaboration after the events of the 18th where she burned down DEV's house.
On 18 December, Hilda unveiled her new model made by Rune.

- Hilda's program, w-AI-fu, is written in a combination of TypeScript and Python, making use of the NodeJS environment.
- While her LLM used to be from NovelAI (Euterpe, Clio, then Kayra), she was recently migrated to a fine-tuned version of GPT3.5 Turbo.
