2022
On 2 September Momojiru made her VTuber debut livestream on YouTube.
On 13 November, she started selling her first merch, acrylic stands.
On 31 December, she left Takara Bus Tours and became an independent VTuber.
2023
On 28 January, the "Houtou-gumi" (ほうとう組, Houtou Group) was formed. It is a team consisting of Momojiru and her producer "Boss" (ボス) and production staff member "Shireikan" (司令官, Commander). They share the channel with her as additional VTuber characters with their own models, and they will sometimes stream on the channel without Momojiru herself present.
On 12 April, she celebrated her first birthday stream, where she showed off a parody of the Tokimeki Memorial VN titled "Tokimeki Momojiru Keikaku" (ときめき桃汁計画) with Momojiru as the main heroine, set in a Yamanashi police academy. She also unveiled the key visual of her upcoming 2nd costume.
On 7 May, she debuted her 3D model.
On 2 September, she celebrated her 1st anniversary and debuted her 2nd costume, a Jirai-kei style outfit.
2024
On 24 February, Momojiru debuted her Jirai-kei style outfit for her 3D model.
On 12 April, she celebrated her 2024 birthday stream where she debuted an updated version of her original police costume.
On 8 October, her YouTube channel reached 10,000 subscribers.
On 10 October, she did the first of her 2-part 10k subscribers celebration stream, where she played Slither.io with a condition that she will make a big announcement if she manages to get big enough in-game.
On 11 October, she did the second part of her 10k subscribers celebration, which also doubles as her 2nd anniversary stream. Here she debuted her 3rd costume, a Chinese dress outfit.
2025
On 22 March, Momojiru held a debut stream where Shireikan and Boss each debuted their new 2D models and showed their profiles. The new model for Shireikan had long grayish white hair, while the new model for Boss had long spiky green hair.
On 12 April, she celebrated her 2025 birthday stream, where she unveiled her birthday merch and debuted her Magical Girl key visual (not a costume or Live2D model).
On 21 June, Shireikan celebrated her birthday on stream together with Boss and Momojiru (who was initially present, but early on turned over the stream to the two of them), where the two staff members debuted their swimsuit outfit key visuals.
On 17 October, she celebrated her 3rd anniversary stream.
On 23 December, Momojiru announced in a tweet that she would be retiring on 24 January 2026, explaining that she has found a new goal to pursue starting in April 2026.
On 26 December, she also did a stream on YouTube to announce and talk about her upcoming retirement. Her YouTube channel and Twitter account will remain accessible after her retirement, so that her fans can rewatch and revisit all of her moments at any time.
2026
On 9 January, Boss celebrated her birthday with a stream she did together with Shireikan (Momojiru wasn't present at this time).
Retirement
On 24 January, Momojiru held her graduation stream and retired. On the same day, a tweet from her Twitter account was posted, announcing the channel's final big offline charity event called the "Saisho de Saigo no Bakasawagi Matsuri" (最初で最後のバカ騒ぎ祭, The First and Final Silly Big Uproar Festival) to be held on 28 February and 1 March in Yamanashi Prefecture's, where attendees can also meet Houtou Momojiru for the last time.
After her retirement, Boss and Shireikan continued to run the channel, holding a stream on 31 January to discuss Momojiru's retirement in further detail, including a final video letter from Momojiru revealing 3 reasons that make up her "new goal" reason for retiring:
- 1) She wants to try living someplace else - she was originally a wanderer who settled in Yamanashi Prefecture for the time being, and got too comfortable there with Boss, Shireikan and Yamanashi's citizens. She wants to return to that wandering life.
- 2) She has been accepted to a new "patrol area" but denies that it's a reincarnation; rather it's about her childhood dream which she keeps secret, but involves difficult tests and challenges, and using her memories of life in Yamanashi with her fans, she was able to pass the interview.
- 3) Her final dream and biggest challenge: for Momojiru to become a legend (she produced a continuation to her original song from 2 years ago, which is part of the video letter).
