The concept behind Jed is best explained with his story. A fantasy land with every kind of being you could imagine, in a somewhat modern medieval style setting. The strongest angel sent down to help humanity in a great war against deamons. After the war, he recieves no further instructions and is stuck on the mortal plane, so he decides his job is not done and starts destroying anything and anyone that is not human. Earns the nickname God's Butcher for slaughtering guilty and innocent alike. Many many years later, comes in contact with the Karmazsyn estate. A place as big as a city with land to be self sustaining. A place that accepts any being as it's resident, and it is run by the oldest vampire family. There he accepts a deal to do no harm and learn of their ways. Months pass by before he understand his mistakes and seeks forgiveness. He learns about these monsters, creatures he's been hunting and does his best to be as kind as he can be to atone for his sins. This however is interrupted by his siblings, who arrive to question his loyalty. A fight ensues which leaves him the only survivor, cursing him with his wings turning metal and banishment from the heavens for spilling the blood of his kin. Also due to his grave injuries the head of the family saves him the only possible way he can, by giving him the vampire's bite. Months pass by for his rehabilitation to learn to live with his burden and be capable to travel. One such travel is to accompany the Karmazsyn family to a banquet in the mountains, where they meet the high dragons for a peace treaty. A ceremony is held, where both heads of the noble houses share their blood in a chalice. But this stirs something in our character, his other curse finally surfacing as he steals the chalice and drinks it's content, turning into a different version of himself. One that's cocky and egotistical, seeking leisure through power. But is quickly stopped by an old dragon warrior, earning his injuries and losing a limb. After recovering and recieveing lessons about his new curse, he finally dedicates himself to help the beings of the realm find peace and refuge at the estate while trying to educate humans about the possibilty of coexistence.

The idea of Jed is, understanding one another and believing in second chances if there is a possibility of change.
