Personality

Kashimu describes herself as an unfiltered person who cannot stand idly by. She often speaks one-on-one with her community daily on social media and she has publicly defended and supported other Vtubers and artist.

She has repeatedly demonstrated her fanaticism for retro games and tends to influence her community to a greater or lesser extent. Nicknamed "Loli Queen" or "Loli Kami" she has become an extremely influential popular figure in both English- and Spanish-speaking communities and a pillar of the alternative Vtuber community.

On stream, she is extremely talkative and tends to talk to her chat throughout the stream. She rarely roleplays, so she always shows her unfiltered personality. She is also extremely perfectionist, rarely taking breaks 1 day a month and always creating content, which has sometimes caused her health problems.

Appearance

Kashimu's current kitsune loli model has blue hair with flat colors, blue kitsune ears with black tips, a musical note-shaped hairpin on her right front hair, a round face, and large eyes with a 1990s anime aesthetic. Her hair is extremely long, practically reaching the ground, with the first half being straight and the second lower half being grouped into two thick braids, with two red ribbons at the end, one in each braid. She wears a necklace with a treble clef hanging from it and a red miko outfit made into a dress, which also has a musical theme. She wears pointy stockings and ends with traditional red miko shoes. She has three blue kitsune tails for lore reasons.

Background

Kashimu began considering becoming a Vtuber in 2019. She was a regular cam streamer playing games like Apex Legends and shooter spinoffs, so she decided to save up to buy a PC that would allow her to play and run the corresponding Vtubing programs.

The final conceptualization of her avatar and model was completed in November 2020, but it wasn't until 13 February 2021, that her Twitch debut took place. Until that day, she had been creating content on social media platforms like Twitter and Discord using her avatar.

Debut

Kashimu's debut took place on 13 February 2021, on Twitch. The 2 hours stream featured her introduction, speaking, and answering chat questions.

At the time of her debut, she became the first Western Miko-themed Vtuber, and the third worldwide. She called herself a lolicon, making her the first Western Vtuber to openly acknowledge it.

Character lore

One day mysteriously, Kashimu, a novice kitsune, was transported to Gensokyo through a portal shaped like an eye. Upon her arrival, she realized she had barely any powers, and a convoluted idea came to her: Become a goddess and gather the faith of her followers to become the most powerful goddess in the land and thus be able to confront the youkai that caused all this trouble.

Several days passed until she spotted a small blue fairy with ice powers named Cirno, whom she tricked by telling her she was a powerful miko with powerful techniques she would teach if she became her miko apprentice. Since Cirno is a baka, she accepted.

Now Cirno acts as Miko without knowing it, convincing the fairies to worship the "Goddess of luck" and this is how Kashimu not only became the goddess of luck, but also the goddess of the fairies in secret.

There was just one problem with Kashimu's plan: Fairies aren't powerful. Fairies are weak and don't give her much power, so even Kashimu could only manifest three of the nine tails. Plus, fairies are just as unruly and troublesome as Cirno, so everyday life is chaotic!

2021

Her beginnings were entirely in Spanish, as was her community. After her debut, she would begin streaming games like Counter-Strike, Touhou Project, and Genshin Impact, and watching anime live with her community.

On 23 February, a special collaboration took place with more than eight Vtubers on the MOBA Battle Royal game Eternal Return. The collaboration lasted approximately one hour and 30 minutes and was the first collaboration Kashimu had done with Vtubers. Although Kashimu didn't win and was barely familiar with the game, her approach to the collaboration was humor, livening up the atmosphere, and leading the conversational aspect.

On 24 February, Kashimu began streaming Genshin Impact for the first time, which would become a regular feature on the channel. She acknowledged having played it at launch on PS4 but wanted to start a new game with her community, a new journey.

On 4 March, Kashimu played Touhou Project 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil for the first time via streaming, becoming the first Western Touhou Project Vtuber, something she would later nickname "TouhouTuber." She played several runs but failed to complete the game. However, she clarified that years ago she had been a Lunatic Player (someone capable of completing the game on the maximum difficulty), something she would later demonstrate in subsequent streams. Kashimu greatly influenced the recognition of Touhou Project in the West and Spanish-speaking countries, becoming a role model for new generations who were not yet familiar with the series, becoming a pioneer in their field. Several Touhou Project-related communities were created thanks to and in honor of Kashimu's work.

On 14 March, White Day, she she created a weekly stream called "El consultario del amor" (The Love Consultation), in which on Mondays, advice on love and relationships was given to people who needed it and asked for it, and guests were brought in to help and advise the community. The event lasted 12 consecutive episodes.

29 March was Kashimu's first day drawing live. She drew emojis for use on her Discord server and Twitch, and continued drawing irregularly in the next following years.

On 16 April, she played Black Mesa, the fan-made game based on the original Half-Life, a stream that lasted over 5 hours and 30 minutes. Although she had previously stated this, she declared herself a fan of the Half-Life series and its spin-offs, and revealed that she has been playing Half-Life since its release in 1998. The stream brought together several Half-Life fans who weren't familiar with her community, which helped her community grow at the time.

On 18 April, Kashimu created a series called "El día del espectador" (Viewer Day), where the community took control and decided what would be streamed. Links in the chat were allowed, and Kashimu opened them manually, rather than through a bot, to enhance the stream with scene changes. This series was repeated every Sunday without interruption until 20 February 2022. Due to the physical demands, they were the shortest streams with only 3 hours on average.

On 19 April, Kashimu returned to playing Apex Legends, the game she had mastered during her time as an IRL cam streamer, this time as a Vtuber. The stream lasted four hours and consisted of ranked matches where she was on her way to moving up from Platinum 1 to Diamond 4. She won numerous matches and raised the possibility of creating a competitive Apex Legends team with some of her followers, who were already quite competitive.

On 22 April, one of the channel's longest-running series would began, lasting more than a year. Since then, every Thursday, Kashimu watched all Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, the anime series, with her community and a special guest.

On 30 April, Kashimu streamed for 24 consecutive hours, during which she talked to her community about herself and played Apex Legends, Genshin Impact and Pokemon, as well as having breakfast, lunch and dinner live.

7 May was the first time Kashimu played a Pokemon game on Twitch, and it would be Pokemon Crystal. She declared it her favorite Pokemon game, while also revealing that she played it for thousands of hours as a child. She also revealed that the first Pokemon game she ever played was Pokemon Red. During the stream, she named the Pokemon after her community viewers, this being a regular game, not Nuzlock. The stream lasted 6 hours and 30 minutes, with Kashimu spending the last hour at the Goldenrod City casino playing slots while she spoke to her viewers.

On 11 May, Kashimu was hired by NextNinja to promote the newly released video game "Touhou Lost Word" through her streaming channel, as she was the most popular Touhou Project streamer at the time. The stream covered the early stages of the game, and the amount Kashimu received for playing it is still unknown.

On 21 May, Kashimu introduced Twitch predictions, with which bets could be placed using channel points. The game that began these predictions was Apex Legends, and the first bet was "Does Kashimu win this match?" People could vote yes or no. The result of the first bet was yes, so the points were distributed to the winners. Later in the stream, she switched to "Marbles on Stream," a game in which people with their usernames would randomly race in a marble-shaped race, something that was geared toward the new prediction system. After trying this game, Kashimu said she would never play something like that again because her community "ran the risk of being contaminated."

Due to the enormous growth of her Japanese community compared to the Spanish-speaking community, on 28 May, Kashimu incorporated a real-time subtitle system that directly translated her Spanish words into Japanese, pioneering the use of this type of feature in the Western community. She adapted the program called Yukarinette, well-known in the Japanese community, to her needs as a Spanish speaker, achieving real-time community cohesion.

On 10 July, Kashimu played Valorant, a Riot Games video game, for the first time. She declared, "It's so easy it's boring, it's like Counter-Strike with magic". After that stream, several competitive teams inquired about signing her due to her performance, but she declined, arguing, "I play what I want and what I like".

On 16 July, she played Minecraft for the first time, something her community had long requested. Based on this stream, a community Minecraft server was created, but it's now lost media.

On 31 August, with a stream lasting almost four hours, Kashimu premiered what she called her favorite series in the title of her stream: Half-Life. Although it was a gameplay of the story mode, she also showed off exploits and interesting facts about the game, such as which developers worked on each map, how the scripts work, and gave tips on creating mods or maps for Half-Life or any other first-person shooter. In this stream, she revealed that she had made numerous mods in the past under another identity, as well as multiplayer maps, multiplayer models, and other resources. It would later be revealed that she was the official European Half-Life deathmatch champion, as well as placing third in the deathmatch mode of the game's expansion, Opposing Force.

On 10 September, Kashimu would follow a trend that had recently become popular: Making streams expandable, which consists of the stream being extended based on donations or other goals set by the streamer, and if there are no more donations, the stream would end. She chose the extension method to be subscriptions since in her own words, "I want it to be that if you donate something, at least you can enjoy the emotes, so I won't take into account the bits." Despite exceeding Kashimu's expectations, she stated that she would not do a stretchable again since "she felt like she was forcing people to pay for something she did as a hobby."

On 7 October, Kashimu returned to streaming after a 2-week hiatus due to health issues, breaking a streak of nearly 7 months of uninterrupted daily streaming.

On 11 December, she played League of Legends for the first time in her life, and on stream. She lost every game, including the tutorial, which was bugged.

On 18 December, Kashimu played the 5v5 competitive dragon game Century of Ashes for the first and last time. The stream was marred by performance issues due to poor optimization. Kashimu expressed disappointment, as she had been excited by the game's premise, and abandoned it to focus on drawing chibis and emotes for her Discord server.

30 December was her last stream of the year, coinciding with the "Naruteo" series. She bid farewell to the year with her guest, wishing well to her entire community. At the end of the year, she became the Vtuber with the most hours of streaming in a full year, worldwide.

2022

On 18 January, Kashimu was interviewed by UsagiInterviews, a company dedicated to interviewing Vtubers about little-known topics. In the interview, Kashimu revealed interesting details such as how she secretly mined cryptocurrencies as a hobby years ago, shared her way of working regarding streaming activities, and talked about Vtubers, revealing illicit activities of a few at the time, which led to their downfall. Another topic discussed was video games, where Kashimu shared several important details about her career as a gamer, both at an amateur level in some games and competitively in others. While the interview is considered lost media, Kashimu indicated that the company may have it in reserve.

On 5 February, Kashimu would do a collaboration stream with AllyssDragon playing chess, a person with whom she would begin a romantic relationship weeks later. On 8 April, Kashimu debuted her new avatar (the one she currently uses). To do so, she gave a Touhou Project-themed presentation, where her character's lore is set. The stream lasted an hour and 45 minutes, during which she spoke with her community.

On 29 May, she played Fortnite for the first time on stream, one of the few times she played it.

2023

Most of her streams were focused on playing Touhou Project.

2024

On 13 January, Kashimu kicked off the new year playing League of Legends, a game she reportedly learned the basics of by watching YouTube videos. Playing ranked matches, she achieved Gold in Duos and Gold in a 5-player team, the highest scores she would ever achieve in League of Legends. In the stream, she stated that she wasn't interested in other modes or variants of the game, such as TFT, and that she found the chibis cute but not interesting as a game.

On 15 June, Kashimu played Mystia's Izakaya for the first time, a fan-made game from the Touhou Project series about kitchen management. The game was a gift from a friend, and she said it was wonderful and therapeutic, and she has now logged hundreds of hours of play. The stream lasted almost four hours and spoke with her community about the current state of the franchise in Japan and the West, both English and Spanish-speaking.

On 11 August, Kashimu launched a surprise stream with Magnavox, CEO of TouhouSpain. They hosted a podcast discussion focused on various topics. Among them, they discussed the poor design and story management in Minecraft and other video games. They then discussed the Western Vtuber community, positive and negative practices within the community, as well as behind-the-scenes information about Vtubing collaborations. She also shared previously unseen details about her Vtuber career. The podcast lasted over two hours without interruption.

Half-Life Deathmatch Library Project. On 8 September, Kashimu streamed downloading and reviewing Half-Life multiplayer deathmatch maps. She explained that it's a preservation project, which involves downloading all of the game's multiplayer deathmatch maps to make them freely available to anyone who wants them. During the stream, Kashimu showed maps that were previously considered lost media, before later stating that she's been creating this collection for decades.

On 20 September, Kashimu played the visual novel Needy Girl Overdose for the first time, a gift from Kashimu's friend Magnavox. The stream lasted over four hours and was a turning point for Kashimu, both as a streamer and personally. She said, "It changed my life and the way I perceive certain things. Now I feel like I can be myself more freely." During the stream, she narrated all the dialogues, using different intonations, and spoke to her chat while doing so, creating an immersive experience.

On 21 September, 2024, Kashimu made the decision to move from the Spanish-speaking community to the English-speaking community.

On 4 October, Kashimu did an official ASMR stream (she had previously done ASMR but it was a reward through redeeming Twitch channel points).

On 25 November, Kashimu announced that she would continue as Kashimu after receiving an offer from a major agency. She stated that the financial conditions were unbeatable, but also stated that "doing what I truly love is priceless," as the agency told her she would have to continue with another avatar and model if she accepted. Rumors point to Vshojo, but Kashimu has neither confirmed nor denied this.

Her main focus was on Twitter, where she would create varied, daily content, as well as memes with her avatar.

2025

On 1 January, 2025, Kashimu issued a special statement condemning pedophilia and any illegal and immoral acts toward minors, stating that such "people" have no place or role in her community. She became, to date, the first VTuber to publicly speak out against pedophilia and in favor of child protection.

On 11 April, Kashimu launched a Saturday series called "Community Day" where each week a creator from her community would be chosen to showcase their work and promote it for free. To date, Kashimu is the first and only Vtuber to carry out this type of event and offer altruistic support to the community.

On 28 April, several groups of self-proclaimed "maps" and pedophiles, as well as Vtubers affiliated with these ideologies, carried out an illegal mass attack against Kashimu's vtuber account and her art account, based on her statements on 1 January, resulting in her being banned from the platform. She remains active on other platforms like Bluesky as well as on her Discord server.

On 2 July, Kashimu created a dynamic called "The Kashicon of the Month", which consisted of the most active member of his community by text and the most active member by voice, each would win a unique drawing made by Kashimu and a special position in her community's Discord server. This dynamic is reset and carried out monthly and each month the people can be different. It continues to this day.

On 5 August, Kashimu appointed two new moderators for her community, something that hadn't happened since 2023.

Kashimu Cup Series. On 22 August, Kashimu announced the first edition of the "Kashimu Cup Series," a competitive event with cash prizes, games, and special benefits. This first edition was hosted on her Discord server, exclusively for her community. The chosen video game was "Touhou Project 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom," and the competitive mechanics consisted of achieving the highest score in the game, beating the other tournament participants. The prizes consisted of a Steam game (of the winner's choice) worth $15 for the winner, and a Steam game worth $5 for the runner-up. The cover art was created by talented artist "UohStar." The winners were announced on 15 September. Kashimu has already announced that each tournament will have a different mechanic and gameplay, making it the first and only tournament series to date created by a Vtuber.

On 19 September, Kashimu posted a trivia iceberg in which she shared little-known or unusual facts. Some of the information she provided included that she worked creating Half-Life mods, Tomb Raider maps, danmaku video games, and music tracks that are currently lost media. Other interesting facts include that she started streaming in 2016, is a Counter-Strike champion, has turned down a offer from Vshojo, and has worked with Hololive on a video game collaboration. As very important information, she admitted to having an account with 400,000 followers (platform unknown) and being a famous person in real life. She also clarified in her discord server that she will not provide any context. Despite being asked numerous times by her community, she has still refused to clarify any of the points of the iceberg, the most frequently asked questions being about Hololive, the 400K account, and the "Waifu-Gacha" wars, stating that "it's something that those who have always been there, know about".

On 15 November, Kashimu created a Twitter page called "Kashimu Daily FanArt" with the purpose of continuously uploading a daily drawing created by members of her community for preservation, as many of these drawings are currently lost. She stated, "I created the account so my community can see all of Kashimu's drawings, since many are currently lost online, and I want you to enjoy them." She also indicated that she would only upload fan art and not her own drawings. "Kashimu Daily FanArt" continues to upload drawings daily without interruption.

2026

On 1 January, Kashimu posted her usual New Year's greeting, which was warmly received by her community.

After a 17-month hiatus from streaming, Kashimu returned to the livestream scene on 1 February. The stream, which she called a "test stream," lasted approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. She chatted with her community, showcased new features, and played Genshin Impact. The stream was a hybrid format, featuring both Spanish and English, reflecting the diverse nationalities of her community. At the end of the stream, she announced her return plan: to stream at least once a week and to expand the range of her content. She then raided, as she had done previously.

On 28 February, she began uploading videos of her ranked Apex Legends matches to her "commentary Twitter account" , as compilations, some with her Live2D model and others with just her avatar. These videos are usually accompanied by music edits, kill compilations, and complex movement plays. The upload frequency is irregular and tends to depend on how her matches went that day. She also actively comments on various competitive aspects of the game and participates in related discussions.

On 20 April, she created the Twitter page "Kashimu Out of Context," which aims to upload screenshots and clips from her past streams, completely out of context, resulting in funny and unexpected situations she experienced live. The uploaded screenshots range from her debut on 13 February 2021, to the present day.

On 4 May, Kashimu marked a milestone in the restoration and preservation of currently lost video games by announcing that she had begun development on what she called "Proyect Kashimu Kuroshio Revival." This project involves the restoration of the game "Black Surge Night", a gacha game for Android developed by the company Bilibili, which closed in mid-2022. She refers to it as Kuroshio. She shared a post showing how she accessed decrypted game data extracted from a frozen RAM cache of an Android emulator she had modified , and expressed her desire for everyone to be able to enjoy the game again. To this day, she is the first and only Vtuber to reverse-engineer a video game of this type for its restoration and the only person worldwide in charge of restoring this game. She indicated feeling "alone but hopeful and responsible" and has continued to provide development updates ever since.

On 7 May, she posted an update related to the Black Surge Night revival project, stating that once development is complete, she will publish what she called "SURVIVAL MANUAL FOR DEAD GACHA GAMES." This manual will allow users to revive any Android gacha game, promising that hundreds of titles will no longer be lost and unusable. The manual is designed to be easily used by any inexperienced user, serving as a universal tutorial. Currently, only the first chapters of the manual have been completed, due to the length and complexity of the project.

On June 11, Kashimu offered her services as a Vtuber for Blue Archive, a video game by Nexon. This offer stemmed from the company's widely criticized streamer collaboration campaign. Kashimu offered her services for free as an alternative, requesting that any money be donated to a foundation helping children with cancer. The proposal received massive support from both Kashimu's community and the Blue Archive community.

Kashimu's stage at Touhouspain

In April 2022, Kashimu joined a Touhou Project community called Touhouspain, which was the largest Spanish-speaking casual entertainment community with over 11,800 members. On August 9, 2023, she joined the moderation team, taking on roles such as creating content and art for the community, developing competitive danmaku events on the Touhouspain Discord server, and producing educational podcasts with special guests focused on competitive official games. Later, she also became the community's vice president and formed the public relations team with other international Touhou Project community servers.

Within the community, she created, organized, and reviewed competitive danmaku events for official Touhou Project games for community members. These events consisted of scoring games, a mode where the goal was to achieve the highest score. The first tournament held shortly after joining the moderation team was for Touhou Project: Perfect Cherry Blossom. Due to the initiative's great success, the format was later repeated with Touhou Project: Mountain of Faith, using the same rules.

Later, Kashimu, as the second member of the decision-making council, was recruited by the "Touhou European Assembly," a European organization that brings together several international Touhou Project communities.

On June 5, 2025, Touhouspain ceased its activities as an active community, marking the end of Kashimu's participation in both the community and the Touhou European Assembly, which she left of her own accord.
