Character lore
Luma is a representative of the Luminos dragons.
Luminos are light dragons whose main characteristic is the ability to master and combine several elements. Because of this, their species was one of the most powerful dynasties, although their popularization was incredibly low.
It is not entirely known how such dragons appear. But their appearance causes fear among people because of their desire for power, strength, and the conquest of new territories. Therefore, clans try to quickly destroy representatives of these species before they have time to master any abilities. In addition, such dragons are very popular among poachers because of their horns, which can glow even after their death. They were also used to make jewelry for important royal families.
Background
The first Luma concepts were created back in the 2012s, when the artist Luma drew comics with a friend about herself and her friends.
The character would be further developed in 2018, experimenting with hair color and establishing the signature look of two ponytails, horns, and a bare forehead. In 2019 the horns became blue, and the artist began working on comics about a fictional world and a group of girls who worked at a maid café by day and fought evil by night.
In 2020, an official character reference sheet and 3D model were produced. She made some test streams at the end of the year.
Lore
In one of the magical worlds, a little dragon girl appeared in a small cornflower village. Her horns shimmered brightly, so they called her Luma. The glowing horns are considered a rare gift, so Luma was doomed to excessive attention and high expectations. Everyone believed that she could become the most powerful dragon, destroying everything in... her path! However, it turned out to be the opposite. She failed at everything. Luma was... a failure. This dragon did not want to control the scorching fire and harm everything around her, and what is worse for every dragon - SHE HADN'T GROWN HER WINGS YET! In order not to be different, Luma decided to make wings and attach them to her backpack. However, no matter how much she wanted to join the new team, her attitude, motivation and appearance could not find like-minded people. After all, a REAL dragon should radiate FEAR and TERROR. Luma wanted to heal with fire, and hide her evil appearance, well... at least try to. So... She spent a lot of time learning how to balance the power of healing and damage. Over time, the basis of her magic became wandering lights, pieces of faith and support. They play a significant role in Luma's power. After all, these lights are alive! When Luma's powers became really powerful, she decided to leave her home harbour and head out into the big world... an unknown and dangerous world, as dragons are hunted by powerful clans outside her home territory. Luckily, Lumi didn't have to disguise herself, because no one believed she was really a dragon. While looking for her new home, Luma was spotted by a passerby. He offered Luma a job and a place to live in his coffee shop, Clion, whose mascot was the Sea Angels. The owner gave Luma a room in the attic, where no one had ever lived. However, this room had a wonderful view of the sea, so it was a pleasure to renovate it! Show more

2020
Luma appeared from the light in the cornflower settlement. Her horns can glow in the dark which indicated that she is a light dragon. However, she had no wings and in order not to stand out, she made them for her backpack.
2023
Luma set off on a long journey and came across the KLION cafe (on the seashore, the cafe's mascot is a sea angel). Its owner offered to live there, and in exchange, Luma would work as a barista. So Luma found a job, entertaining visitors, and living on the roof of the cafe.
2026
The cafe and the luma were so popular with the visitors that they began to glorify the luma dragon. They built a temple for it and made offerings, and the owner of the cafe decided to open a new business. Now in the cafe you can not only drink coffee but also buy some kind of artifact, similar to the dragon. And luma, in addition to her job as a barista, also got a job in the temple
2021
In this year, Luma began to get serious about VTubing. She updated her character design to the "sea angel" concept. She did not stream in this year.
2022
In this year she produced a new design based on the theme of of a girl who loves toadstools.
Later, Luma decided to take a chance and assign herself the race of a little dragon, featuring wings, a tail, slightly tousled hair, and vertical pupils. She was inspired by the game Spyro the Dragon.
On 17 December, she made her first VTuber stream, using a PNG model of her character design.
2023
On 25 May, she reached 2,000 Twitch followers.
On 20 September, she reached Twitch Affiliate status.
On 28 September, she reached 5,000 Twitch followers.
On 17 December, she made her Live2D model debut and celebrated her one year stream anniversary.
2024
On 20 February, she reached 10,000 Twitch followers.
2025
On 3 February, she reached 15,000 Twitch followers.

- On 14 February 2024, Luma's viewers filled out a questionnaire to date her on Valentine's Day, and Luma chose the best one on the stream. The winner got a role in Discord "Романтик 2024," while the most noteworthy participants were given a role in Discord "купідончик."
- In June 2024, she held the "Найкращий Глиноміс" event. Luma's viewers made it out of plasticine, and Luma chose the best clay model on the stream. The winner got a role in Discord "глиноміс ЗОЛОТІ РУКИ 2024,"while the most noteworthy participants were given a role in Discord "глиноміс 2024,"
- In 2024, Luma's viewers uploaded photos of the cooked food to the Discord, and Luma chose the best dish. The winner got a role in Discord "ДРУШЛАК 2024."
- In 2024, the "Конкурс ТікТоків" event took place. Luma's viewers did TikToks with the Live2D model to win the grand prize. The winner received an author's T-shirt with a drawing of Zluma, while the most notable TikToks had a chance to be featured on Luma's main TikTok page.
- At the end of 2024, Luma's viewers filled in questionnaires with New Year's greetings, and Luma chose the best ones on the stream. The winner received a box of NonStop surprise box from Luma and a role in the Discord "Санта 2024."
- In 2025, Luma guessed chatters based on their first messages and compiled a tear list of active chatters.
- From 6-7 June 2026, Luma appeared at Fancon 2026 in Kyiv. Luma and her viewers set up a booth where her first-ever merchandise was sold, and viewers could also chat with Luma live on screen. Luma was also invited onto the virtual stage to discuss the topic "The Reality of Virtual Streamers: An Open Discussion on the Challenges of Vtubing."
Coffee shop and mascot
Clione is not an ordinary coffee shop. Its doors are located in different parts of the world, so its visitors are always different and special.
In addition to delicious coffee, the establishment can offer you Лумотерапія (conversation with Luma), Лумотеатр (watching something in a theatre in Discord), Лумоказино (betting on broadcasts), and other types of entertainment.
The mascot of the cafe is the sea angel 'Cli,' after which the cafe was named.
