Mai is a kitsune who shapeshifts though most forms sport dark blue hair with giant starry fox ears and one (or four) fluffy starry fox tails. Their right eye is brown, most of the time hidden by hair and their left eye is green.

- 400+ years ago Mai lived in a town hidden deep within the forest, they either were born into or adopted by a family due to their future sight gift
- This family had some dark secrets and ties to cannibalism, learning this Mai made a deal with Kurai Hane and their world's tamamo no mae to gain power and take down their family after their power was sealed.
- after becoming a spirit to gain their powers back the two made Mai a kitsune to enact their revenge on their family, killing 'The Prophet' and eating their soul
- Currently Mai guards their forest, guiding lost souls (wisps) through, conveying the stories of lost ones and eating the rotten souls that pass through.

Mai Torriku is the protector and shrine guardian of the Trickster Woods and Shrine.
Since they can't leave the forest they use their time surfing the web and listening to the souls or "wisps" in their forest. They decided to start illustrating the pitiful souls stories as they come from other universes and view their forest as a sort of purgatory.
2021
In December, Mai debuted a Christmas model.
2022
On 29 January, Mai became a Twitch Affiliate.
In August, they released a model update, though the Twitch VOD was lost.
On 1 October, they debuted their first Halloween model.
2023
On 24 June, Mai started their first stream on YouTube at 3 am to test how the streaming worked. Lter that day, they did their first official broadcast that would spark their complete and sudden move to YouTube.
On 14 July, they hosted their first ever YouTube debut, debuting their Summer Outfit. They also hit 50 subscribers around this time.
Around the beginning of September, they would hit 100 subscribers and later celebrate it with Hot Noodles (which they had to stop eating)
On 2 October, they would debut their second Halloween model.
On 30 October, they celebrated their two year anniversary with a showcase of all of their old models and the debut of a new one.
On 11 November, they played a game so boring they got a refund live on stream.
On 2 December, they participated in a Thankmas Charity stream.
2024
On 9 March, Mai soft debuted a character named Mie Mau (later named Yuuki Mau).
On 1 April, they debuted a new sakura model and showed off the first ever wisp mascot reference sheet.
On 25 April, they hit 22 peak CCV, which is the most they've ever had at one time.
On 1 May, they debuted the first outfit to ever have lore relevance, along with their first ever cover/lore video.
On 31 May, Yuuki Mau made his first official appearance.
On 20 June, they debuted their detective outfit.
On 29 September, their first cover hit 1k views, the first video to ever have that many views on their channel.
On 1 October, they debuted their Zombie Halloween Model.

Around 12 March, they would be announced Leader of one of the Concept SMP teams and had a stream with the fellow leaders.
On 21 March, they would announce their team, Team Ga(y)ze.

On 8 August, they held a collab with other future Frenby Fire founders, teasing the reveal of the group
On 11 October, they started model update debut relays in preparation for their 4th anniversary.
On 30 October, they held their first ever 12 hour stream for their anniversary where they announced several things: the model made by Kamamesigogo Maru, frenby Fire (officially) as a founder, their Boys' Love webcomic "My Lucky Charm," their next cover, and a new lore video. They also got their first ever akasupa and gained 335 subscribers over both streams.
