Bored with day-to-day life in the underworld and all the bureaucracy involved in being a demon lord, she handed off most duties to her underlings, then decided to come to the human realm to seek amusement from humanity's quaint cultures. Though immortal, and generally stuck in her human-friendly form, she's been living what most would consider a "normal" life while learning about human culture in order to better understand them and blend in. She has grown attached to most sentient Earth creatures, especially humans, and lives vicariously through their happiness and fulfillment of their desires. She is capable of using shape-shifting magic. However rarely it may be, when exceptionally angered or endangered, Mattie may take on a much more sinister, demonic form.
