• Her fans are known as "Nezumichis" or simply "Nezus". They are portrayed as small brown student mice, wearing a beret, capelet and necktie similar to Mao's.
• Nezumichis are sometimes personified as a single character called "Nezu-kun".

• She's very fond of retro videogames, tactical shooters, 2000's aesthetics, and old-school otaku culture.
• Her oshi is Inugami Korone.
• She likes reading, coffee (especially mocca), SCP foundation, Kanye West and visual novels.
• She dislikes milk, 3DPD, dogs and celery. (She really really hates celery)

• Mao is the student council president at the Mouse Academy Orientation (M.A.O.), which serves to reform mice who "have lost their way", through education and videogames. ** She lives at the teacher's room. ** At this school, all teachers are cats. ** M.A.O previously stood for "Mao's Academy Orientation" ** Mao met Nezu-kun at school and he is cannonically her boyfriend. * She made a short Visual Novel about her lore for her debut, which is available for download on her website. * She is a nekomimi, specifically a brown tuxedo cat. * Chiyo is her alter ego. She is a nekomimi—a persian cat—working under minimum wage as a student counselor at M.A.O. She shares the same birthday with Mao.

• She originally debuted under the name "Mishiro Mao" (みしろまお), but later changed it after discovering it was already in use by another VTuber.
• Her original model (Mao 1.0) is a customizable Live2D model, named Patty-chan (パティちゃん), designed by Ramune. She mentioned finding it by chance and purchasing it for 30 USD. The original Mishiro Mao also debuted using the same model.
• She didn't originally plan for her 2.0 model to be "loli", but rather be 160 cm tall.
