A Japanese VTuber who mainly streamed in Japanese, Nateyo Rakai also spoke English well and had spent about 10 years learning Spanish. She debuted on April 20, 2021, then redubted on April 19, 2022, and retired on September 13, 2022. She was part of Natamo Project’s 1st Generation and Mihae Live’s first generation. Her fans were called Samuel.

Nateyo Rakai (なてよらかい) was a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber, currently associated with Natamo Project's 1st Generation, alongside Meio Tenozi, Vix Rasaki, Rio Neori, and Tsukohara Kao. She was a member from Mihae Live's first generation alongside Euphie Yuwie (formerly Yuyu Nezuyu), Chizukake Mira, Tsukohara Kao, Inuki Chokora, and Nekoma Koko. She grew up learning Spanish for approximately 10 years, and was also proficient in English, her second dominant language. Her main dominant language was Japanese. She retired on September 13th, 2022 after doing an announcement on YouTube.

Background

Her Twitter account was created on December 2020 and her YouTube account on 27 August, 2016. She posted her first tweet on 8 January 2021, and teased her model with a series of follower and retweet goals pre-debut. On 30 March, she was introduced by Mihae Live's twitter, and on 23 April, Nateyo revealed her 3D model. Eventually, she held her first YouTube stream on 20 April 2021.

Redebut

Nateyo's new YouTube channel was created on 27 February, which she shared via Twitter on that same day. In the channel's description the phrase "You'll wait for me, right?" could be found. During her hiatus, she teased her debut and a new VTuber agency, which would be Natamo Project. On late March, Natamo announced the debut dates of all its members.

On 19 April, Nateyo redebuted on YouTube channel as a member of Natamo Project's first Generation.

Her fanbase is officaly called "Samuel". She used to call them "chat" until someone said not to call him that, to refer to him as Samuel.

Trivia

Her fans assure that she is a shotacon, although her manager say otherwise; however, she has indirectly accepted being one on several occasions.
She denies being "pettan," (flat chest) despite being the most pettan of her generation.
She is able to make ASMR with her burps.
Nateyo likes to convert (draw) her companions in their shota version.
She has also worked with comissions for Vtuber models and art. For example, she made the model of the Vtuber called Akumori.
She often posts cat pictures to express her reactions or to represent what she's doing when replying to others' posts.

2021

On 11 May, she reached 1,200 subscribers on her YouTube channel, an achievement that she celebrated with a karaoke stream.

On 6 June, she unlocked YouTube channel memberhips.

On 19 June, she reached 5,000 subscribers during a stream dedicated to drawing Hina Misora.

On 20 July, she made a stream to celebrate reaching 8,000 subscribers on YouTube.

On 7 September, she reached 10,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

On 15 September, she debuted her "Baby Nateyo" model.

On 21 September, she revealed her second model, which kept the same outfit but depicted Nateyo in a taller and more mature appearance with braided twintails. Both her new 2D and 3D model also included different facial expressions.

Retirement

On 17 September, before the debut of her new model, Nateyo announced she would post her "most important video" of her VTuber career on 22 September. However, she later set up a video to premiere on 21 September (after the unveiling of her 2nd model), which ended up being her graduation announcement. In the video, Nateyo mentioned that she would officially graduate the next the next day, and will make an additional stream on her Discord server for channel members later that same day, and that she would remain active on social media until 30 September.

On 22 September, she held a graduation stream on YouTube, and on 30 September she held a farewell event on her Discord server.

2022

On 18 February, Nateyo came back to Twitter stating that her YouTube channel was accidentally deleted making any past content posted on it unavaible, and that if she ever decided to return, she would tell everyone.
