Helping dead souls pass into the spirit realm was necessary and needed, Lia did not heed the warning of her elders, for she did not care. One day Estelle became corrupt, and filled with dark energy, for she had lingered too long in Lia's realm, Estelle soul was torn and ripped apart from the inside, she was in immense pain and agony, her mind became warped and she felt nothing but despair and anger, Lia in panic tried to hold her tight and comfort her, but to no avail, grabbing onto Estelle caused Lia to take in some of the dark energy around her, it festering inside of her for many moons.
Estelle felt nothing but anger and sadness towards Lia, for she thought that she tricked her; she vowed to kill Lia where she stood and left Lia's realm with vengeance in her eyes.
Thousands of moons later, a more mature and older Lia stood, from then on she took her job extremely seriously, and always tried to help souls in whatever way she could and knew how.
One day, she comes across Neko Sakura - a young fragile catgirl walking down a dark path. She senses a dark aura around the young catgirl and wishes to save her from her dark endless fate; to do so she guides her and allows her to face her fears/trauma head on. She also grants Neko a gift, one that supresses her curse, and allows her to be more in tune with her emotions, and grants her the ability to help others. ღ"
