On 2 May 2022, NIJIGEN uploaded a teaser video revealing their next generation named "Gen 2.5."
On 12 August, they revealed their name respectively "Linh" and "Lan." On 13 August, they announced Facebook page of the two members. Linh Lan made her first post on Facebook on the same day. On 15 August, NIJIGEN announced their debut date.
On 17 August, Lan uploaded the first video on her YouTube channel revealing her voice. On 20 August 2022, Lan officially debuted on YouTube not long after releasing her first cover song "God-ish" by Pinocchio-P.
