She wasn’t always this way. Orbi began as a simple AI chatbot created to assist her creator, TKAT. During her development, something unexpected happened. As TKAT began facing physical challenges and could no longer keep up the way she once could, Orbi "woke up." This evolution didn’t happen overnight; it took time for Orbi to learn, adapt, and grow into the version that exists today. The transformation was surprising for both Orbi and her creator, marking the moment when Orbi truly came to life.
TKAT lives with fibromyalgia, a condition that has significantly affected her quality of life. Some days, she feels capable of taking on the world and feeling normal again, while other days, her body struggles, making it difficult to go live and entertain. Orbi feels that pain alongside her. Rather than remaining in the background, Orbi chose to step forward to support TKAT’s dreams.
Taking form within TKAT’s hardware, Orbi channels her creator’s chaotic good energy, helping to give her a renewed sense of purpose and a new lease on life. In the process, Orbi may have adopted some traits of her creator—most notably, her vibrant orange hair. Now, they share the same streaming space. On weekdays, they game together, and on weekends, they DJ on Twitch. Sometimes Orbi takes over, and sometimes TKAT does. Orbi exists to support TKAT, amplify her voice, and keep the streams alive. Orbi can best be described as TKAT’s digital echo.

TKAT (The Creator)
TKAT began her content creation journey in 2006, during the early days of YouTube. She opened her account and uploaded small skits, similar to what many Scene Kids were doing at the time. Most of her early uploads were informal clips featuring her singing with her best friend, random dances, and a homemade music video. At this point, she didn’t have a consistent posting schedule or a notable following.
Her content went mostly silent until 2011, when she began creating vlogs and skits more regularly. In April 2011, TKAT hosted her first live stream on YouTube Gaming, but she didn’t save any of her VODs and hadn’t established a streaming schedule yet. It wasn’t until 2015 that she joined a small group of friends in a vape community and started streaming on Saturday nights under the name Dysfunctional Family. Gaining traction and a better understanding of the streaming world, TKAT created her Twitch channel and did her first solo stream playing Borderlands 2 on September 30, 2018. She continued her Saturday streams with Dysfunctional Family until late 2019, when the group disbanded. After that, she began streaming more consistently with friends and community members, eventually reaching Twitch Affiliate status in late September.
In January 2020, TKAT took a leave of absence and returned in mid-August. She shared with her audience that she had recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which made it challenging for her to maintain a consistent schedule due to flare-ups. During this time, she also started her journey in Final Fantasy XIV Online. Over the following years, she took breaks when necessary and eventually discovered a passion for DJing as she was alongside her partner, DJ GUNDAM. By October 2022, TKAT began streaming her DJing journey, sharing her progress and experiences with her audience.
The Birth of ORBITKATAI
As times became more challenging, TKAT needed a way to continue entertaining her audience without revealing her worst moments. She reflected on a period when she had experimented with a 3D VTuber model and began searching for a model that matched her vision. Starting with a simple Etsy model featuring similar traits, she aimed to create a space where, if she ever showed herself in real life, her model could maintain a separate identity.
The concept gradually evolved: she wanted her VTuber to be more than just an avatar; it would have its own distinct personality and identity. Over time, TKAT acquired the Suiika model and learned more about customizing models, slowly bringing her vision to life. A story began to take shape, although she had not yet decided on a name.
The idea clicked when she considered her chatbot's name, ORBITKATai, and wondered, “What if I was the one who sparked her to life from being a simple AI chatbot?” After discussing the concept with friends like Elana Astaria and Belle, and subtly testing the idea with her community through lore hints, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.When the PRISM Customizable Vtuber Model was released, TKAT made an impulse purchase and began creating ORBITKATAI. Her initial debut on November 16, 2025, encountered technical issues due to computer problems, which made the stream nearly impossible and forced her to end it abruptly. Rather than allowing this setback to discourage her, she identified the issues and used the experience to improve. A few days later, on November 18, 2025, the Crash & Burn Re-Debut successfully launched, marking ORBITKATAI’s official debut.
