History

On 2 March 2024, Sony Music Entertainment Japan announced that PRISM Project would cease operations after 31 March. Thereafter, all active PRISM talents would become independent and have the rights to their characters transferred to them.

On 10 March, PRISM Project's 3rd Generation announced that their generation would be known as Requiem, and that Requiem would continue even after PRISM Project's dissolution.

Requiem's YouTube channel was created on 13 May 2024. Requiem's Twitter account was created in May 2024.

On 13 May, Requiem's Twitter account made its first tweet, with the cryptic text "xx.xx.xx" and a brief video of an illustration of a concert stage with the overlaid text "Our story's not over yet... Coming soon".

On 11 June, Shiki Miyoshino teased that there would be a collab stream and announcement on Requiem's social media on 15 June. On 15 June, the group held a Mario Party stream on the group's channel and made special announcements for the group's 3rd year anniversary. They announced that they would be releasing their first cover song under the Requiem name, and that they're planning a 3D concert together, tentatively scheduled for the evening of 28 June, Pacific Time. The announcement also showed off some new key visual art. Later that day, the group posted a "Requiem Introduction" promo video to its YouTube channel. The promo video reintroduced the members and showed off Requiem branding, including a logo, wordmark, and sound logo.

On 22 June, Requiem announced their 3rd year anniversary 3D concert would take place on 28 June at 9pm US Eastern / 6pm Pacific (29 June at 10am JST).

On 24 June, Requiem posted their first group weekly schedule.

At their debut as the 3rd generation of PRISM Project, the group had the theme of "East meets West", with Miyoshino Shiki (an inugami) and Suzune Nia (a nekomata) representing the East and Pina Pengin (a harpy penguin) and Rikudou Yura (a dullahan) representing the West.
