Shumy's personality is often energetic and wild. Her humor is often offensive and slightly suggestive. She also has a potty mouth, and tends to curse quite a bit.

She also tends to feel guilty about things that aren’t really her fault. For example, during a Minecraft stream, a viewer was upset that their channel point redeem did not work, and claimed that Shumy had “scammed” them. Shumy paused the stream for a few minutes, apologizing and eventually continuing the stream.

She often gets tired or bored easily, just like a young child. She often can’t stick with one game during a whole stream, and most of her streams are about two to three hours in length.

Her model represents that of a red-haired kitsune with long ears and a long, fluffy tail. She wears a gown similar to a traditional Chinese dress. There is a bow with a bell attached on her right ear (our left) and two darkish brown hairclips. Her eyes are golden.

She debuted on 22 June 2023, and quickly gained popularity due to her model and personality.

• The legend of Shumy goes as such: during the Tang Dynasty of Ancient China, the great Emperor Taizong found a massive cherry blossom tree. He stared at it in awe, admiring the beautiful petals, when suddenly a petal fluttered to the ground and within it lay a small girl. This girl was beautiful, with long, red hair and a beautiful, royal Chinese gown. The emperor named her Shumy. It turned out that Shumy was actually an ancient deity who was immortal, so even after Emperor Taizong’s passing, Shumy lived on. Now she’s here to play games and chat with all of you!
