Skullomance

Skullomance is an undead streamer who emerged from the grave to broadcast his cursed internet knowledge to the world. His character draws inspiration from various other anime characters he has a clear preference for, his aesthetic draws from gothic, undead, and humorous themes, earning him a cult following of fans known as the Boners. His channel has grown slowly but steadily through eras of hardship, lore development, and community-building.

A Rude Awakening

Not much is known about Skullomance before he woke up as a Skeleton. According to the skeleton himself, they were "Doing island expeditions in BFA" in front of their computer while playing videogames and passed away peacefully in their desk, he lists vague memories about a golden gate slowly fading into view but a sudden appearance of Arachnid, twitching shadow limbs grabbing him from behind and pulling him away. When he woke up he was inside his crypt, when he walked outside he realized that he was in a Graveyard and that he somehow woke up as a moving Skeleton.

"It's no f%#! surprise farming Azerite was the death of me! Hell! I'm surprise anyone lived!"

To Rise is to Fall Again

After a period of acclimation it was established that the Graveyard he was in had other denizens, most notably Sherly, a friendly Phantom who's family lineage owns the graveyard and Arach, a mysterious spider Necromancer with an unexplained propensity to tolerate and support Skull's shenanigans. In their grieving state, Skull's parents had buried him with a few items he was fond of in life, such as his phone, his laptop and a dragon pendant with an Onyx stone in the middle. The electrical equipment he was buried with came with no chargers or cables of any kind since there was no need for someone to be buried with them, Skull proceeded to steal the Graveyard Keeper's phone charger so he could charge his phone. With his phone in hand, Skull convinced Arach to create magical accessories to be sold online, Arach noted the importance of having someone freely able of leaving and returning to the Graveyard for supplies, Sherly could not do it since she was a Phantom and Arach's spider body made it too complicated to "humanize" his body without considerable risk of getting caught, with all this in account Arach took advantage of Skull's skeletal nature and designed the first Flesh Suit, a meat suit magically designed to link up with Skull's bones to give as realistic a movement as possible. The MK1 Flesh Suit - "Hollow" was the very first flesh suit designed by Arach, In the beginning eyes that would link directly to Skull's conscience were hard to conjure so the very first Flesh Suit was named "Hollow" due to the empty eye sockets, this led Skull to rent a motorcycle and start doing deliveries for Uber Eats since he would be wearing a bike helmet at all times. After gathering just enough money, Skull bought a charger for his laptop and began streaming very low graphical games such as Cyber Hunter and Stardew Valley. It was during this time where the Graveyard Keeper quit his job, Skull had gotten the habit of unscrewing the "G" off "Graveyard" so he could name the place they were living in "Raveyard", tired of having to find and screw the "G" back into the sign, out of his own volition the Graveyard Keeper stayed at night in the Graveyard to tell off whichever immature kid was unscrewing the sign every night. That night when Skull was leaving for work, he was unscrewing the letter off the sign as usual, only to be approached by the Graveyard Keeper who fainted on sight after seeing Skull with the MK1 Flesh Suit without his bike helmet on.

Traumatized and certain that no one would believe him, the Graveyard Keeper never told anyone what he saw that day

Unfortunately, after only 3 months of streaming, Skull's laptop's built in Graphics card burned out and until he had enough money for a new computer, he had to take a mandatory Hiatus

Once you've hit Rock bottom, the only way is up

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Skull already had built considerable experience as a delivery driver, many restaurants and clients requested him specifically due to his direct approach to work. Due to the Portuguese's lax attitude towards the pandemic, the Raveyard had a steady influx of bodies which gave Arach ample materials to design the MK2 Flesh Suit line, now with fully functioning eyes and multiple different suits catered to different uses, the MK2 Flesh Suit - "Thorvald" was Skull's choice to work as a delivery driver, it featured a tanned man with long wavy dark brown hair and a long beard with Dark brown eyes, the MK2 Flesh Suit - "Skvlltan" featured a pale dark purple haired woman with dark blue eyes, the use of this flesh suit was never fully determined, only receiving vague comments such as "To lure pests away" and the MK2 Flesh Suit - "Aurelio" was named and shaped after the former Graveyard Keeper. After the previous Graveyard Keeper quit, Arach while testing various methods to link consciences, developed a drone bug he could consciously connect to and control like an extra limb, he proceeded to spy on the previous Graveyard Keeper to ensure the safety of the Raveyard, the Graveyard Keeper apparently had wired all his money to an account abroad and left the country. After telling Skull this, Skull proposed that a Flesh Suit in the likeness of the previous Graveyard Keeper would be made so people wouldn't get suspicious of his sudden disappearance, each Raveyard member helped in this, Arach made the body as close to the real Graveyard Keeper as possible, Skull went to the Graveyard Keeper's home and procured as many photos, clothes and belongings as he could, he also started to move some of his belongings to the Graveyard Keeper's house to move in eventually, Sherly used her family connections to get Skull a copy of the Graveyard Keeper's legal documents, with all of this done the MK2 Flesh Suit - "Aurelio" was the Raveyard's most useful flesh suit as now Skull could fully make use of Portugal's infrastructures.

Aptly armed with the MK2 Flesh Suit - "Thorvald", experience as a delivery driver and connections with multiple restaurants and clients, nothing could stop Skull from helping out the Raveyard and set some money aside to finally build a new computer he had started buying parts for, or that would have been the case. After 6 months of working 13 hours a day, one day while getting ready for work, Skull just collapsed.

After coming to, he was lying on the couch surrounded by Sherly and Arach, there was no need for words, it was obvious what had happened.

During "The BoneAge of Darkness" when Skull regained access to his phone, he had reached out to a lot of his previous online friends who had no idea why he disappeared one day, one of his closest friends was working for Microsoft and offered to push internally for Skull to get a cushy job in a Work from Home environment, faced with his exhaustion, Skull accepted but that acceptance came with an obvious problem. Skull's friend did not know he died and when he asked for Skull's curriculum, Skull couldn't just send MK2 Flesh Suit - "Aurelio" in a curriculum since it would be virtually impossible to convince Skull's friend that his long online gaming buddy had been a grumpy old man this whole time.

Skull was about to give up but it was then when Sherly and Arach approached him with smiles on their faces. Long ago moved by Skull's determination in ensuring everyone's safety and stability, the Raveyard denizens were trying to come up with a way to repay his efforts when Arach made a suggestion that put everyone to work. Mysteriously, Arach has knowledge of Skull before he died, using this knowledge, Sherly once more used her Family connections to acquire copies of Skull's legal documents, another denizen of Raveyard who used to be town mayor, sneaked into town hall one night and forged the registry into saying Skull had a long lost brother, with both of the above, another denizen of the Raveyard who used to be a real estate agent forged documents saying that the Graveyard Keeper had sold his house to Skull's long lost brother, it was here where after 3 years of painstaking research, trial and error, Arach developed his Magnum Opus, the MK3 Flesh Suit - "Skullomance", the flesh suit had the exact likeness Skull had before he died with a few years added onto it to account for aging, the movement of the suit was flawless and in certain instances even enhanced, this suit also featured a specific spell imbued to Skull's face named "Skullmasking", the spell did exactly what it said, it allowed skull to toggle between his skeleton face and his human face at will, thanks to Arach imbuing some of his essence into the suit, the flesh suit also had a failsafe where if a human unknowingly approached Skull within a certain radius, "Skullmasking" would trigger automatically. Other denizens of the Raveyard who had tailoring skills took note of various of Skull's anime preferences and designed his current outfit to match various characters they had seen him watch on the short moments he was resting. All of the above along with the MK3 Flesh Suit - "Skullomance" brought Skull so much comfort, unlike previous flesh suits, Skull never did take off the latest flesh suit, choosing only to release "Skullmasking" when he is among friends.

With all of the above, Skull got his job in Microsoft, moved to the the former Graveyard Keeper's old house along with Sherly who he had started dating a while ago and finally managed to put together a computer so he could stream again.

On 23 September 2023 Skull posted a tweet saying "Guess What" along with his twitch link announcing his return to streaming

To Behead or not to Behead, the question is "Who wants some head?"

As with many streamers, Skull's beginnings were addled with doubts on how he should proceed as a streamer, after a collab where he and some friends played Phasmophobia together, the following Halloween Skull found it would be a good idea to try his hand at soloing Phasmophobia, after two hunts that resulted in miserable fails, he begged his community to join him so he wouldn't have to play alone. Ironically enough, the skeleton man has a terrible time with horror games. It was around this time he adopted the name "Bone Daddy", a lot of people think this name alludes to either Ains Ooal Gown from Overlord or Withers from Baldurs Gate 3, in reality, it was initially intended as a unique Skeleton variant of "TooTurntTony"'s persona. After his ordeal with Phasmophobia, rather than quit the game, Skull dedicated himself to understand as much of the game as possible, this lead to multiple collabs where other Vtubers looked upon him for guidance within the game. Considering his stance as a variety streamer, this made him follow a formula where he would force himself to play various other games only to return to Phasmophobia for weeklies and Events. It was also around this time where Skull started video editing, making a video about a story that happened to him on Sea of Thieves. His primary focus on consistency and variety ensured his core audience returned out of habit in the person itself rather than the game they are playing.

Don't let yourself be shackled by something that helped you in the past if it won't let you move to the future

Reaching 500 followers, Skullomance quit his job at Microsoft and became a full-time content creator. To celebrate his newfound freedom, on 20th of August 2024 he streamed Predecessor for 48 hours, only stopping when Twitch's built in failsafe disconnected his stream, which he then proceeded to restart and stream for another 8 hours before he stopped, that enormous stream for a new game release along with the fact the game was having twitch drops gave him a considerable boost and by the end of the month, Skull had achieved 638 followers.

With his newfound freedom he also edited his current intro, an anime style song and video called "Living Bone Life" he plays in the beginning of every stream, his merch of the same name based off the intro was released at the same time and introduced on the same stream.

He kept his formula of variety gaming along with his focus on Phasmophobia, people began calling him a professional to which he shut down saying there was knowledge he still had not memorized. During this time a streamer acquaintance of Skull had to take a hiatus from streaming, they streamed together one last Phasmophobia stream where as they were leaving, they made Skull promise to memorize all he said he hadn't memorized yet so he would finally be able to admit he was a professional in the game. Skull's following months were focused on learning everything from ghost speeds, to ghost behaviors to the very way the ghosts were coded in the game.

The Current Era

After hitting 1000 followers, Skull edited a 24 hour long Christmas edit. In his edit he showcased a lot of his close acquaintances, his streaming journey up to that point and in the end, he achieved Phasmophobia's greatest Achievement, Apocalypse Legend by playing the game's hardest map, with the ghost boosted in every manner and the player nerfed in every way.

He's currently taking a course in Social Media management so he can promote his social medias better and has been streaming every time the course allows him to
