Lore
The second and youngest princess of Lunaria, a kingdom created by the gods of the Moon. Every Lunarian is a descendant of the moon gods, with the royalties having the purest bloodline.
Io was born with the power to heal and later acquired the ability to control the dead, the sea, and agriculture as the result of her coming-of-age... ceremony. During her coming-of-age ceremony, she became a contracted follower of Tsukuyomi, the Japanese moon god. He gifted her new powers, the name Tsukinaga, and Ruby, her guardian snake. In return, Io had to serve as His disciple, performing duties such as helping Him rule over the night and spreading His message to the world.
Like any Lunarian, Io’s power and emotions are affected by the phases of the moon. During a full moon, it is said that she has what she describes as a “big brain.” In addition to the boost in intelligence, she may engage in more unpredictable and strange behaviors than usual. The effect of the phrases of the moon is strongest among royalties.
It is unknown how old Io is, as Lunarians, especially the royalties, grow slowly in terms of physical looks. It is known, however, that shortly after her coming-of-age ceremony, she died (classified) and was later found alive again on Earth in a younger-looking form. After this incident, Io is known as the goddess of rebirth and change.
