I mind controlled them to let me leave the ritual site and then wiped their memories of the event,
I spent a day and a half walking in the forest, I eventually found a hiker and followed him after... putting on a human disguise. He let me live in his house as long as I paid rent and such, "no mind control needed" wink wink. After a while of living with Kevin I saw him watching a Vtuber livestream and, with some help from Kevin, decided to become one myself.
