Before auditioning for the Isegye Idol Project, Viichan operated on her YouTube channel as a Utaite. An Utaite is an amateur singer who uploads song covers on the internet. For a few years, she operated her YouTube channel by covering Japanese songs. She would be the first person to apply for the audition.
Her unique voice gave her a strong identity among the applicants. However, Woowakgood worried that her vocals were too aligned with Japanese utaite songs, making her vocals unnvering for Korean audiences. He still decided that she was worth to audition, and her name became the first one on the audition list.

On 13 July, her application was accepted, and her name was listed to participate in the audition process on the third day of the First Round.
On 17 July, she made her first appearance on Woowakgood's stream during the First Round of auditioning done in VRChat. The chat immeidately took notice of her unique voice, which made her memorable to viewers. With all three of the judges giving a pass, she became the first person to officially pass the first round of the Audition.
On 18 July, she made the list of names that passed the First Round. She was now officially allowed to stream.
On 31 July, she made the list of names that passed the Second Round.
On 7 August, she made the list of names that passed the Third Round.
On 26 August, she made the list of names that passed the Final Round. She is now an official ISEGYE IDOL member.
On 17 December, ISEGYE IDOL released their first single album RE:WIND on Melon Chart, which marked the day all six members, including Viichan, debuted.
