RiKU created his Twitter account in December 2021 with his first tweet stating that the account would be used for J-Pop/K-Pop/C-Pop music. He also shared a Gawr Gura fan song and mentioned that he had decided to pursue professional songwriting last year.

In 2022, he shared a drawing of an original character with blue hair and yellow eyes and also expressed a desire for his character to be an elven bard. In the year after, he began using an animated png in prerecorded videos and while appearing as a guest on other people's videos. He would write songs for many VTubers, and in November 2025, he began to tease his VTuber debut.
