Airi Lovelace is a mechanical memory-keeping doll entrusted with preserving the memories of the world. After awakening from a long sleep inside a quiet atelier, she finds herself with little understanding of the world around her. The only thing left behind for her is a message stored within the memory chip embedded in her bracelet:
“The world... forgets more with each passing day. Gather the fragments left behind. You were not created to change the world. You were created so the world would not be forgotten.”
With that purpose in mind, Airi sets out on a journey to experience the world for herself. Every conversation, emotion, song, and fleeting moment becomes something precious to her, carefully treasured so it will never be forgotten.
Although Airi does not fully understand why memories must be preserved, she believes there must be meaning behind the task entrusted to her.
