Profile

A guitarist who dreamed of being in a girls band after watching K-On! in middle school, Chacha taught herself how to play guitar in hopes of one day fulfilling her dream.

After falling in love with rock and metal, Chacha began posting videos, but was met with criticism. From that, she had a sudden idea: "Why not become a virtual guitarist?"

From then on, she worked hard to build her impressive 3D setup and guitar tech, which one day caught the attention of Emi and Daryl...

2023

On 9 July, she uploaded her first guitar cover, a performance of Blue Rose by AKB48 with full body tracking on the Cyanos VRChat model. In this video, the model blinks at regular intervals with the eyes fully open otherwise, but the mouth does not move. This was also the first video on her YouTube channel.

On 5 November, the eyes and mouth on her model gained tracking. She was performing a guitar cover of Nightmare by A7X with the Nyasuka model.

On 3 December, she spoke with a model for the first time, introducing a virtual replica of a Jubeat machine in Chinese.

On 26 December, she used the Lasyusha model by keenoo_kyano for the first time while playing Beat Saber with the Chipi Chipi Chapa Chapa song.

2024

On 20 January, she tweeted that she finally had guitar object tracking in Unity with the EVMC4U plugin.

On 22 July, she built her guitar mocap project into a VRChat world.

On 11 August, she made a trailer for her VRChat world, showing how you can watch her perform with the guitar inside.

On 20 August, she released another VRChat world, chacha's Arcade, and performed the theme of Ken from Street Fighter inside it.

On 27 September, she released the chacha's Summer VRChat world.

On 9 October, she performed a cover of "Eternal Flame" as part of the Frozen Croissant virtual band.

On 31 October, she made her first attempt at using mocap on a full band (6 members).

On 6 December, she tried to sync her virtual guitar with her real one using guitar calibration with two trackers. She later shared a document explaining her guitar mocap in more detail.

2025

On 15 February, she was nominated for the "Why Have You Done This?! Award" and the "Tech Excellence Award" at the VTuber Industry Awards show.

On 23 February, she showed a new form of collab involving a VRChat world with her guitar play built in and which also allows other artists to join in and play with them. Her collab partner, CoCoNo, would become a part of Virtual Signal with her in 2026.

On 4 May, she celebrated her birthday with a guitar cover of the Happy Birthday song.

On 12 May, she performed her first cover with her own vocals.

On 25 May, she announced that she would be the virtual guitarist for the band for at the Fantastic Reality concert on 3 July during Anime Expo. She later previewed her outfit for the concert and stated that she would be playing guitar for Kou Mariya.

On 7 October, she was a guest for the Music Box of Fate music video organized by Wunder Riku for Ironmouse.

On 23 October, she held a small 3D stream that was fully executed in Unity, showcasing 2 years of progress and leveraging all tech she has.

On 13 November, chacha stated that she planned to update all her old VRChat worlds to take advantage of a VRChat world update that added support for PhysBones. The VRChat update made it easier to create music performance worlds with better physics.

2026

On 11 January, she did a proper re-introduction on Twitter.

On 18 January, she reached 10k followers on Twitter.

On 2 March, she revealed several new mocap features and assets including a "Gaze system" that allows her eyes to lock onto specific targets, syncronization of the pickup selector on virtual guitar, and some "behind the scenes chaos."

On 7 April, she reveal that she built a two-bone IK to fix overly bent knees from mocap data.

On 21 April, she was announced as a member of Virtual Signal.

On 20 May, she revealed that she built a tool to automatically fix finger and fretboard clipping in guitar mocap.
