GKuro Monochrome was born in a mountain village near a vast lake. He is the older brother of Shiro, an albino girl who was ostracized due to local superstitions. GKuro suffers from Monochromatic Vision Disorder (MVD), a rare condition that affects both his perception of color and his mental and physical health.
After his parents divorced, GKuro... moved to the city with his sick mother. Her passing when he was 14 triggered a deep depression, causing him to lose all ability to perceive color. At 15, he met Kaisa, a green-haired girl who became his first love and source of hope. Because of her, he dyed half of his hair and began wearing a red scarf.
At 18, Kaisa vanished without explanation, causing him to fall into another emotional collapse. Eventually, GKuro inherited a café from an old friend of his mother's. He now works there, hoping one day to see the colors again.
