[Avian Alien Sentinel]

After waking up on an unfamiliar planet with her memories erased and a javelin through the main power control unit of her escape pod, a certain lifeform—equipped with only a surface flight mobility module, a single-use language scanner, a maintenance manual and a note to say 'don't think about anything too hard and live happily' (paraphrased)—wandered through a misty moor. Upon scanning (and startling) what appeared to be a local sentry patrolling the area, who subsequently ran away at full speed, the lifeform followed his traces to a fortified city.

Once there, though she first faced some suspicion, the lifeform was assessed for how best to integrate her into society, since—apparently—strange people appearing out of nowhere was a fairly normal occurrence in the Mists. With her mobility gear and ability to see more clearly through the Mists than others, she was assigned to the Mysteguard, a military unit responsible for protecting the citadel from OTHER things that normally appear in the Mists.

Things that are angry. Unreasonable.

Hungry.

The sentry that had been startled at her first appearance would later be assigned as her mentor, responsible for her integration into society. With her original name forgotten along with her origins by whoever wiped her memory, the sentry registered her in Fort Mystehaven's records as "Harrier"; one who 'pursues' (it was definitely a grudge by her reckoning, but she let it slide since it sounded cool). All amnesiacs who appear in the Mists are registered with the additional name of 'Citadel' when added to the citizenry register.

Her patrol roster is fairly fluid, with long recuperation periods to allow any side effects from exposure to the Mists to dissipate. During this time, Harrier pursues creative goals, not thinking too hard about her absent past, and trying to live each day happily.
