2021
On 2 February, Iora uploaded her ENVtuber Introduction Video.
On 20 February, Iora formally debuted with her Vtuber Debut Stream.
2022
On 27 February, after announcing via her Twitter account, Hotaru Iora performed a final Karaoke stream, and after that has gone on an indefinite hiatus to solve personal issues.
Retirement
On 7 April, VReverie announced Iora's immediate graduation, stating that she wishes to pursue her own goals and interests. Existing content on her YouTube channel and social accounts will remain publicly available.
On 3 December 2024, the day of VReverie's closure, an independent VTuber, Valentine, claimed she was Hotaru Iora. According to her version of the facts, she graduated because of personal reasons, but her agency made the strange decision to reserve the right of when to announce it. Instead of announcing it immediately, they put her officially in "hiatus" until the graduation announcement was finally made.
On 26 February 2025, Iora's Twitter account was purged, rebranded, and used by a new coming agency, LunovaPro. LunovaPro declared having bought the account from VReverie.
