Hiatus
On 10 January, not long after enjoying her popularity as a Virtual YouTuber, Ika became the victim of a personal information leak by one of her close friends. In a comment on her birthday video, her friend told Ika's complete personal identity from her real name to her home address. The incident traumatized her and decided to go on hiatus for an indefinite period.
On 17 January, Ika returned to her YouTube channel and officially announced that she would stop being an individual VTuber and leave the character Ika. She said that she will return to being VTuber under a new agency, as Shumi Shumikea.
Return
On 1 October, Ika's YouTube channel again uploaded a short video after more than a year of disappearance, and officially declared her return on 6 October.
