Kaya Nishikino

She has long, dark brown hair with red and white streaks (one long white streak in her bangs and the red streaks mostly being in her ponytail) and purple eyes. She has a traditionally Japanese inspired robe with orange flowers/leaves on them.

Her YouTube channel was created on 4 October 2023, her Twitter account was created in the same month.

On 2 October, production kawaii revealed three Twitter accounts, supposed to be new members. After the announcement, she made her first tweet.

On 5 October, production kawaii announced their new generation "Hanamizuki," and their debut schedule on the next day.

On 8 October, Isla Coleman made a stream to reveal Hanamizuki logo and its members, after the stream, production kawaii officially announced their names and channels, consisting of three members: Yuno Hanaki, Ran Tsukiha, and Kaya Nishikino.

On 15 October, Kaya debuted on her YouTube channel, and was the last member to debut. During the stream, she released her first original song "NIN-NIN with me!" with lyrics written by herself.

• A messenger from the moon sent by her clan to Earth to collect offerings for the Otsukimi festival. Kaya's ninja clan lives on the dark side of the moon (Tsukiura). hidden from the view of humans, and helps the moon complete its phases. Kaya was chosen by the Twin Moon Bunnies (Mimi-sama & Mumu-sama) to gather the Earth's offerings and bring them to the moon on the anniversary of their ascendance. Without enough offerings, the moon will be stuck as a new moon forever, losing the ability to change its phases. With the help of her Ninjutsu and scrolls, Kaya is able to travel down to Earth during the night to harvest human offerings and avoid detection. One year during Kaya's yearly mission, her curiosity about Earth led her to an idol concert which completely mesmerized her. Known for her singing back on the moon, Kaya decided to stay on Earth to aim to become the #1 idol that will even reach the moon' through VTubing. Kaya made a promise to her clan to go back every year during Tsukimi to complete her task as the Otsukimi messenger, and until then she will sing her heart out so her clan can even hear it on the moon.
