Kayamori Emma / Emma Chouette

Emma has a bright, fun, and friendly personality. She loves streaming and interacting with her fans. Her streams vary in tone from comfy and relaxed chatting streams to high energy and eardrum-piercingly loud whenever she gets spooked while playing a game. Emma has many interests, including anime, games, Vocaloid songs, Japanese drama, comedy and Japanese comedy, to name a few. She has a great sense of comedy and often makes references to her hobbies.

She gets excited and giddy whenever there's a romantic development in a game she's playing.

She often refers to herself as an introvert, saying one time that she's as an introvert who wears the skin of an extrovert. Despite being an introvert she's very friendly, both towards people she collabs with for the first time and to new viewers.

Emma has the appearance of a pale skinned, short, white haired human girl that's only betrayed by her pair of white-and-brown feathered wings growing from her lower back and her ears (the tufts of hair growing from the sides of her head) and her black tipped plumicorns (the two tufts of feathers growing from the top of her head). She has a big feather that grows from her left bangs and two, long, side bangs that end in a cyan colored curl. The back of her hair is curly and Emma says it's hard to control. She has two beautiful amber-colored eyes framed with long black eyelashes. She takes pride in her eyes and says they're one of her best features. Her eyebrows are a little on the thick side and they're the same white color as her hair.

She wears a sort of black, metallic, bow-like hair ornament on her head, partially covered by her "air intake" shaped hair formations. Emma wears a long-sleeved white-and black shirt-like outfit with gold and purple accents, adorned by a large golden torque necklace, shaped with fountain pen as a motif. In the middle of her necklace there's a large and shiny cyan gem that's the same color as her cyan side bangs. From the necklace hangs a purple necktie that's decorated with a golden vertical line of text which is written, according to Emma, in the owl language.

Her outfit has black skirt-like hems that open in the middle. She wears black short-shorts and black thigh-highs that wrap around her thighs with black leather straps. She also wears tall boots with a short heel and golden claws that are reminiscent of an owl's talons.

Her nails are painted with lilac nail polish in order to strengthen her nails, which are naturally weak, as well as decorate them.

She's often seen holding a red book with a golden owl crest on its cover. Emma says she uses this book to keep notes of plants and various things on the forest she lives in.

As of 24 April 2022, with her 1.5 Live2D upgrade, Emma can now grow hair hair to about waist-length. Her long hair is very volumetric and sprawling, with the tips being cyan like her side bangs. She also received "owl glasses" - round rimmed eyeglasses with orange-tinted lenses and a bridge that's shaped like an owl's beak. They bear resemblance to the Pokemon Ho-Ho.

Her official measurements are 93 - 61 - 94 and she's 160cm tall.

Emma might appear like a human girl but her gender is unconfirmed. With owls it's really difficult to ascertain the gender of the owl. You'd have to do DNA test or wait for them to lay an egg to know if it's a male or a female and as such Emma's gender is also unconfirmed. She can't do a DNA test because she'll be abducted by scientists for experimentation. She also has an, as-of-yet, unveiled owl form that she can turn into.

For her owl girl samurai design by Thomasz, Emma has a bright teal headband and a pair of feather hairpins on the right side of her hair plus a removable bright teal eyepatch covering her right eye. On her body she wears a floral white-black-teal open jacket on top of a white and teal kimono-style top that shows off the cleavage and sides of her ample bosom. The bottom half has a white and teal loincloth covering the front but exposes her hips and thighs. There's a pair of owl wings by her waist. On her legs she has a pair of white thigh high boots with teal geta-style extensions on the soles. She has one long nodachi katana hanging off her back and a pair of katanas by her left hip.

On 17 October 2021 Emma made her first tweet. She posted a teaser picture of her key art and wrote "Waaaah! (as in a baby letting out their first cry).

On 20 October 2021 she uploaded her self-introduction video, followed by a short Twitter video of her smiling and making a pouting expression.

On 24 October 2021 she made her debut stream. In it she introduced herself, some of her goals and dreams, her mama and papa, decided on her tags, unveiled her fan name, showed off her full model, answered some questions sent to her through Marshmallow, and showed off some of her facial expressions. The stream is fully captioned in English.

• Her fans are called Nonezumi-san (野ねずみさん, lit.: Field Mice). Being an owl, mice also happen to be her favorite foodstuff, which she makes sure to remind her fans.

• Emamasu (エマます), along with Usamasu. Apex Legends collab duo.

• Her streams' opening and ending background music tracks are original and were composed for her by Hamu.
• Emma's fans have a habit of sending superchat messages that say "Membership money" (メンシ代, menshi dai), to which Emma responds by declining (saying ダメです "dame desu"). This habit goes back to right after Emma's channel got monetized. Her channel didn't have membership enabled yet so fans sent superchat messages, "paying" that way for the membership.
• On 10 November 2021 Emma reported that she picked up a sickly weasel that she found in the forest. She took the weasel to a veterinarian multiple times, but all they had to say is that the weasel was elderly and there's nothing that can be done for him except for good care and hoping it recovers. Emma gave it a warm home and cared for it. She even let it near her microphone for the viewers to hear. Sadly though Emma reported on 12 November that the weasel took its last breath as she held it in her hands. She said she had conflicted feelings, being glad that she was able to provide it with a warm home in its final days but also wishing she had found it earlier. Finally she thanked everyone who took interest and cared about the weasel.
• Emma talked about her childhood several times, usually describing her younger self as a country hick, and a tomboy who spent a lot of time outside. Doing all kinds of silly stuff, but nothing ill-intended.
• On 2022's April Fool's day Emma changed her Twitter name to "Karamori Emma" (辛森エマ, lit. "Spicy forest Emma") and ate an extremely spicy instant yakisoba (Peyoung's 獄激辛やきそばFinal, lit. "Hyper extremely spicy yakisoba Final").
• She shares the same character designer, Fukai Ryousuke, with SUGAROCK and Tsukumo Tokka, who consider themselves "sisters" due to being the being designed by the same artist ("daughters"). However, Emma addresses Fukai as "Mr. Fairy", Tokka calls him "The professor" and SUGAROCK calls him "Mama".
