Background
On 17 November Tsunderia posted on Twitter an announcement titled "Tsunderia Quest". On 28 November they released the silhouette of Meruru alongside the other members of Gen 1. The next day on 29 November Tsunderia ultimately released the promotional video on social media where they presented Meru and the other Gen 1 girls.
On 18 December, Meru debuted. On the same day, she released a cover of a metal song that stands against bullying called "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" by Babymetal which was her first official cover song.

2021
On 1 January, she uploaded "The Story of Matsuro Meru", a backstory video that appeared on her debut.
On 18 January, her channel got approved for monetization.
On 30 January, Meru opened her channel's membership feature.
On 14 February, Meru debuted her chibi model. This Model drew and rigged by herself.
On 20 July, Meru's 6 month anniversary.
On 1 August, she debuted her second outfit and model. After the stream, she released a cover of the song "Renai Circulation."

Leaving Tsunderia
On 23 April, Tsunderia on Twitter announced that Yazaki Kallin, Nini Yuuna, Miori Celesta, Orla Gan Ceann, and Matsuro Meru would be graduating from Tsunderia and become independent VTubers. Accordingly, Yuuna, Miori, Kallin would graduate from Tsunderia on the same day, Meru on 29 April, and Orla on 3 May.

On 31 July, Meru along with Mio and Yuuna debuted her baby models, custom models by panda.
