Mel is often described as a warm and mature "big sister" type, always looking out for her community and offering support when it's needed. She's unfiltered and real, emotionally open and happy to talk about both fun and serious topics. She’s cool and confident most of the time, but her gremlin side does emerge (sometimes totally crashing out) when teased by chat or struggling with a challenge. Mel is a devoted gamer and proud nerd, undeterred by grinding for hours attempting to achieve a perfect score. Clocks are her natural enemy; Mel struggles to stick to a set schedule and rants often about the oppression of mornings.

Mel has black hair with red highlights and a scythe-shaped ahoge that sits on top of her head. Her style is a fusion of cyberpunk grit and streetwise flair: tactical belts, straps, and buckles layered over a sleek jacket and pants in black, silver, and red. She is known to brandish a similarly-themed sword and handgun from her bounty hunting days and a pair of dog tags hang on a chain under her neck. She has sharp fangs on both rows of her teeth and sometimes sprouts animal ears that match her hair. During the daytime, she has tousled hair and bags under her eyes. When she gets emotional, her eyes darken and shadowy magic starts to burn around her.
