On 19 June, her first duet with Tougen Kyoya, a cover of Anti-Realism (アンチリアリズム) by *Luna feat. Otomachi Una and flower, premiered on Kyoya's channel.
On 26 June, Aoi held her first stream on YouTube.
2021
On 2 April, her first original song, "In Fate" was included in Re:fAce's album R with V vol.2-君に想いをつなぐ音-.
On 28 August, Aoi's duet with Fuuka Rin, a cover of the song "Mr.VIRTUALIZER" by HIMEHINA, premiered on her channel.

On 4 April, the & VSinger group SiSter PRintemps or SisPra (しすぷら) for short, started its activities with Aoi as one of its four members along with Fuuka Rin, Inori Kirika and Tsukiguma Nowa. Aoi is the "green representative" of the group.
2024
On 1 February, Aoi announced that she has joined the "avex creators labo muchoo" production support group for music creators. She clarifies in the tweet that it is not an agency contract, and therefore she continues to be an independent VSinger.
On 31 March, she debuted her 3D model, 2 years after crowdfunding started.

On 25 January, Aoi tweeted that she is becoming a full-time VSinger starting this year. This is her 5th year of activity having produced a total of 89 cover songs, and also having produced original songs and acquired a 3D model as well. She has also recently started playing VALORANT as a hobby, which she streams on Twitch.
On 5 February, she announced the digital and streaming release of her cover of "Jinsei Over" (人生オーバー) by harha as a music single.
On 6 February, the MV for her cover of "Jinsei Over" premiered on her channel.
On 11 June, she did a countdown 1 hour before midnight and then celebrated her 5th anniversary. On the same day, she premiered her cover of "PLAY" (プレイ) by Giga feat. Hatsune Miku.
2026
On 20 April, Aoi celebrated her 2026 birthday stream.
On 12 June, she celebrated her 6th anniversary and announced that she will be taking a hiatus from streaming, though she will remain active on Twitter.
On 29 August, she announced that she will be rebranding her channel and socials during her hiatus, and all of her archived content on YouTube and TikTok prior to the rebranding will be made private one week after this announcement, on 5 September 2026. She reassured her fans that she is neither retiring nor deleting her channel.
On 12 September, Sakura Aoi joins Million Production where she'll rebrand herself as Mitama Aoi. She'll be part of MillPro NOVA alongside Otonose Raco, Yuragi Yura, and Nijipuka Nuhu.
