Norma is a bubbly, nerdy, and overall pure person at heart. She can be a little on the quieter side when talking with others, but when games get intense, she's not afraid to raise her voice and scream her poor voice out. Norma is afraid of most things horror and can be very jumpy when it comes to all things spooky. Norma is extremely passionate about her music, which she pours her heart into making. Her new 1.5 model is so expressive that you could read her emotions like a book, with her laugh and big smile that are infectious.

ParaNorma's Twitch channel was originally created on 16 September 2018. According to her Twitch about page, the channel was originally used for VTuber Secret Subject. A YouTube channel for ParaNorma was created on 7 November 2022.

On 3 December 2022, Norma held her VTuber debut stream as a PNGtuber.

Norma Normie was raised as the older sister of 3 younger brothers: Asher, Franke, and D. Her mother, Selina Normie, is a psychic medium whose powers were passed down from generations of every eldest girl and eventually passed down to Norma. Norma initially did not want this gift as she is afraid of all things paranormal. During Norma's childhood, she would experience all kinds of disturbances in the night. She would hear sounds, see shadows, even whispers from unknown sources. Norma felt tormented but had to deal with her waking nightmare.

This left Norma isolated with her thoughts of her family's legacy and how continuing that legacy may conflict with her as a person. With the weight of the family legacy weighing on her, Norma tries desperately to decide what is best for her. Should she pursue her passion for music or continue her family business to keep her family happy? She would work, work, and work, but still didn't feel like she was good enough for her family's expectations.

Norma would constantly have dreams of standing on a stage, singing to her heart's content. Despite not seeing a crowd; she knew her songs would reach people, and that filled her with such burning passion. Norma would spend her free time writing songs to feel truly like herself. Sometimes spending all day thinking about lyrics, rhythms, and melodies she'd wish she could perform. Despite her past and family legacy, Norma felt she couldn't ignore this passion she felt deep down in her heart, but how could she go against her family's expectations of her?

Unfortunately, later in her life, the Normie family would experience a devastating loss. Barry, a beloved family member, would pass on. Each family member would handle their grief differently, but for Norma, this was a complete shock to her world. Norma was feeling lost, alone, and overall torn apart from the reality that she would never see him again. Never see his face, his smile, his voice. Everything that had never been said between them and all she still wished to talk to him about. The thoughts destroyed her, so she turned to the one thing she felt truly in touch with her emotions in, music.

Norma would attempt to use her family's gift to reach out to Barry. She would cry and plead to the void to try to get any answer. Calling out "Speak to me" over and over only to fail and feel helpless.

Norma, remembering an old present Barry once gave her, took a chance in the hopes of a miracle. Barry had given Norma a ghostlight, which are the lights left on in theaters to draw out spirits at night when the stage is empty. Norma would pour her heart into her music and air out all her grief, desperately calling out to Barry for anything, hoping the ghostlight would create the connection she needed. She imagines the same feelings she felt during her dreams, of singing her song written in grief of Barry, to the theater ghosts that would be attracted to the ghostlight.

The glow of the ghostlight fills the room. Norma has reached Barry after many pleas and crying. She sees Barry in a new form, but it's truly him. Her family sees this and rejoices in the fact that they get to see their beloved family member again. Norma had finally found a way to incorporate her passion into her family's legacy to find the answers they all greatly needed.

Norma, now filled with the pride from her family, continues to make music for ghosties to listen to and plays her favorite video games in her basement. Barry may be gone, but now Norma can be confident in herself and who she is while spreading her amazing music to the world.

• Norma is often called a cat girl and denies these claims. However, the ghosties are split between whether she is telling the truth or not. Every time Norma claims to take off her headphones, she is replaced by a mysterious woman who looks exactly like Norma, BUT WITH HUMAN EARS. This debate is still unsolved to this day.

Norma is a paranormal investigator vtuber who's terrified of ghosts. To cope with her scary job she plays a lot of retro games and her singing turns ghosts into friendly ghosties.
