Even from a young age, she was known as the little "sunshine" because she always tried to hide her true emotions – this was her survival strategy, because otherwise, one makes oneself very vulnerable in this world. She smiled, even though her heart had always... been very heavy, plagued by self-doubt and the need to please others. The constant throwing away of her own values ​​and boundaries just to fit in.

Every time she was exploited, insulted, or undermined, she developed an inner "mask" to hide the pain – bottling up all her emotions and very often pretending it never bothered her; because that's how people are: as long as their needs are met, the needs of others are ignored. At that point, even people who meant so much to her stabbed her in the back and pushed her to the limits of life until she broke inside – she was completely alone. The depression and anxiety grew louder and louder, making it increasingly difficult to maintain this emotional mask, until it shattered and there was nothing left to hold her in this world. She left without any sign of improvement.

In the afterlife, before the decision about whether to go to heaven or hell was made, she reviewed what she had achieved in her life. But what she saw was so much pain, betrayal, lies, and loneliness. The Grim Reaper appeared from the depths of nowhere, looked in Pingi's direction, and said, "Do you want to take revenge on those who wronged you and judge them? Do you want a second chance to find happiness and devote yourself to the beautiful things? Do you want to protect your own heart and finally stand up for yourself instead of hiding all your emotions?" He approached her and held out his hand. After a brief hesitation, she made her decision and answered weakly, "Yes...". He simply replied, "Good." The Grim Reaper dissolved into loud laughter, and all that remained was his scythe, which called Pingi to him. She approached it slowly, for she had no other choice in this emptiness. After picking up the scythe, unbearable pain overcame her, as if her heart were being torn into a thousand pieces. As if her body were falling apart, painful screams escaped her lips, which also brought her relief. Thus, a claw formed on her left hand, her arm branded by the pain and another form that Pingi had taken.

Suddenly, before her was a mask whose use she did not yet know.

A voice sounded, saying, "Choose your new name, which you will use as an alias at that time to judge the evil ones—those who wronged you and others." She closed her eyes, simply not knowing what kind of a name she should choose. As she did so, people she didn't know flashed before her eyes; they looked at her with pure eyes and radiated only love and affection. One of them said: "You don't know us yet, but we will become very important to each other. I am Kiky and I will call your new self Reika because I think it suits you wonderfully!" Each of them said: "Reika, we are holding you tight, you are not alone in this dark hour. We are all behind you!" and held out their hands to her. Even though I have never seen any of them, my heart tells me that they will be important to me. She opened her eyes again and chose Reika Reapshade. The voice then said, "Reika Reapshade, you are being returned to the path of life. Do your work to the best of your ability and find your happiness. The mask you have kept is like the mask you once wore within yourself; with it, you can change your form and participate in daily life. Live!"
