Millenia ago, elves, dwarves, and other magical and fae creatures lived with early humans. A magical plague broke out, threatening the lives of magical creatures except for humans and mundane animals. So the elves and dwarves formed a pact, made magical spaceships, and fled the planet with other magic creatures. They founded the planet Alter'xi and lived away.
Now in present day, many on Alter'xi grew curious about what happened to humans, the only truly intelligent species left on their old home Earth. An elven royal commission was started, and RococoLoco, an Unseelie Elf, was one of the first selected to return to Earth to study humans as an anthropologist.
