My cousin, Aidan/Skeletom/Grallow, passed suddenly the morning of November 12, 2024. He was more than a cousin to me, he was one of my best friends. From all of my family members, I felt like Aidan was most similar to me. Out of anyone, he was my #1 supporter and was there for me when I first started streaming and encouraged me to do so. We grew up playing video-games together and continued to do so online as adults. He'd ask if I would consider trying new games with him and he really encouraged me to get into D&D. He was always so hilarious with his impressions, his comebacks, and just his humour in general. I will never forget how he'd be the first to defend me if anyone harassed me online, and I'll always remember how he could make the discord calls and family events erupt with laughter.
I looked forward to every family event just to see you there. We all would play Super Smash Bros and you'd train so hard to try and beat me. I'm glad you won last time with your King K Rool just so I can remember how excited you were. I think back to when we were kids having to share drinks together and teaching me a lot of swear words. I still remember blurting out a word in front of our family, my dad looking embarrassed as ever, and you were laughing so hard. I love you cousin, I wish more than anything I could go back to our last night together and just tell you how much you meant to me. We played Deadlock, chatting, and ended with a win then went to bed. I had this feeling in my heart that I really needed to message you still and tell you how much you meant to me, but I didn't. I instead asked you more mundane questions about D&D thinking I could just tell you how much I appreciated you and loved being your cousin the next day. I'll always regret knowing I had that feeling but didn't follow through with it. You meant so much to all of us Aidan, you really did put everyone else first before yourself. You will forever be remembered and it may be awhile, but I can't wait to see you again. I love you so much cousin.
