On 25 April, she returned to X/Twitter.
On 22 September, Sunny announced that she will return to streaming "sometime in October". Her first return stream was on October 3rd.
On 15 January, Sunny announced her new casual outfit debut.
On 12 February it was announced that Sunny would be joining Glitch Stars with Mogu, Emuri Hiiragi, and Nova Aokami as the company's 2nd generation called "Dreamers." They debuted on Feb 15.

On 5 May, she opened a new YouTube channel named Sunny Powered.
On 30 October, her birthday, Sunny debuted a new rocker-themed outfit illustrated by ekao. She hopped into her first subathon after the reveal, and the reveal was part of an outfit debut relay with Mogu.
On the same day, Sunny also released her first ever solo cover, singing Black Sheep by Metric. In the related tweet, she mentioned that she has "fallen in love with singing recently and want to get better and better." This song was posted to her Sunny Powered channel.
On 10 November, Sunny parted ways with Glitch Stars. However, like Nova, she will continue to be in a group with Dreamers and keep collaborating with other group members.
