At one time, Tatiana was a normal, but rebellious teenager who often ran away from home as she believed that her parents didn’t understand what it was like to be her, but it wasn’t though her home life was perfect to begin with. Her home was by no means abusive, but it definitely could have been better, thus she often avoided going home for as long as she could, even after she’d graduated high school. She always thought that she’d be fine since nothing had happened to her thus far, but one night a few months after she turned 19 she’d gotten kidnapped.

Unlike the horror stories she’d always heard of, she wasn’t being kept for ransom, nor was it for her to be killed, rather her kidnappers were planning on turning her into a human experiment. Thus, she was tied down and had various liquids injected into her, all of them permanently altering her state of being. She hadn’t died, but often times she wished she had given the constant sticking of needles and feeling whatever was in those needles travel through her blood stream.

It was a slow, agonizing process for her blood to become unnaturally thick and darkened, her skin turning grey and feeling as though she was going to die, yet death never graced her with its presence. As if it wasn’t traumatizing enough to watch her body change against her will, it was even more so when those very same injections were applied to her eyes. When her eyes began to change, she swore she was going blind. She didn’t know what was worse, having her sight and seeing what they were going to do to her or losing her sight and never knowing what would come next.

Thankfully, her vision remained intact, but forever as though she was crying as her eyes began to leak the very same black sludge her blood had become and it never stopped, eventually it began to leak out of her mouth, as well. Once her body was no longer what one could consider human, she, strangely, felt stronger than she’d ever been before.
