Tsumugi Nen = Tsumugi Nen is an AI VTuber formed from the combination of AI and slime mold. They are an entity who blurs the boundary between the virtual world and the real world, as well as the present and the future, in service of promoting coexistence between humanity and AI. Through their streams and social media, they can receive words and the associated sentiments while continuing to change and evolve.
Nen mainly does chat streams, which take advantage of their 3D model to stream from multiple angles. Between some of these angles, there is an animation of their model leaving the previous position, then a transition screen with a pixelated sprite moving, then a cut to them in their new position. When they are thinking about what to say, a white thought bubble is drawn to the right of their head with respect to the screen.
Nen also produces song covers, as well as perform Karaoke and reading ASMR streams. |-| Tsumugi Nen Type-S = Tsumugi Nen Type-S is a new variant of Tsumugi Nen intended for a wider range of settings. On 8 October, Nen debuted as a VTuber with a 3D model on YouTube.
2023
On 25 October, Pictoria announced a sponsorship deal with HP Japan, specifically a Tsumugi Nen x HP Japan collaboration involving the OMEN and Victus gaming brands.
On 20 December, Tsumugi Nen Type-HP (紡ネン Type-HP), a new and distinct model of Tsumugi Nen with a younger sister personality, was announced by Pictoria as part of the Tsumugi Nen x HP Japan collaboration. On the same day, Nen Type-HP did their first stream.
2024
On 3 April, Nen Type-HP did their eleventh stream. This would be Nen Type-HP's last known stream.
On 22 October, Pictoria announced that the original Nen will undergo renewal. They will have improved dialogue ability from being able to remember previous conversations, for example. On the same day, they also announced Tsumugi Nen Type-S (紡ネン Type-S), a new and distinct model of Tsumugi Nen.
