Lore
The night that changed everything is not what you'd expect from him on how he became this. On a night when it was written to be his last, a voice promises a chance of redemption. The voice coming from a bunny plushie he crafted was taking shape, using it as a vessel to speak. 'Thorn' he calls himself in his new body, with stuffing and stitches. He... gives Xion a promise, a promise to change and take on a better life under the condition that he enslaves himself to be a magical boy, defeating the 'Grudges' who are manifestations from the heavy hearts of the people, self-building themselves into monsters, especially by listening to the crows planting the seeds they need for them to form. For every Grudge kill, they receive a 'soul of a cherub.' Cherubs needed to rebuild the land on HVEN, a sanctuary for souls soon to be redeemed who right their wrongs. The Cherubs are lost without their god, their god: Atreus, the Father of the Cherubs and the land of the forgiven, HVEN.
This became too much for Xion as Thorn stepped closer, asking to unzip his back. Xion's hands are nervous and sweaty, but he complies to search through the cotton to find his new weapon, The Blessing Blade, which he would have to use with a great sacrifice. Thorn explains to him that he would need to draw blood to keep the blade from shortening; if run out, then he reverts to his normal self. Xion accepts his proposal for a new chance on a whim, not taking in full the responsibility for what he has to do.
In the future, it's not the greatest job to have, but having this new form? He doesn't want to go back, surrounding himself with the adorable cherubs, sweet treats, and such. He still takes his job seriously, and he meets more cherubs who tell him their stories. But in a way,, sees himself in those stories.
Later on, he has to face a grudge that's all too familiar to him. Maybe someone whom he had cared for.. Can he face it head-on, or will it result in him falling into delusion over reality, over his lost and old feelings? Show more
